This is hilarious. The toothbrush & screwdriver had me rolling. Comedy aside Dan has been really fair in his evaluation of Fields. That’s why that “you didn’t hear it from me but...” Fields slander on the Pat Mcafee show seem to come out of left field. I think it less racial and more plain stupid.
I would love to see Wilson sit for a year. I don't care how good he looks in training camp. Give it one more year to develop the OL and offense (and maybe he bulks up a bit) so he doesn't get killed out there like Burrow. Feels kinda mean to have Darnold start this year knowing he's just keeping the seat warm for the kid, so maybe best to trade him for what they can get (probably mid-round pick) and get a rent-a-vet who starts this year and backs up Wilson next. Not sexy, but...

Imagine if the Jets & 49ers ended up doing a Trubisky like swap 2 & 3 trade. Anybody know why the Bears did that. I never quite understood the rationale. Was there competition for Trubisky or something?
Not the first time I have seen this...Obviously Young is a Niners guy and SF likes Zach with that offense. If you know your Sports... Steph Curry was drafted by Golden. State. He and his family wanted the Knicks who were one pick away. They dealt with the situation and Steph is the Warriors now. Zach and his family can find joy here too if he comes and balls out. Also, didn't Marino from Pittsburgh want NYJ and then just ended up falling in love with Miami once getting drafted? Zach should be fine here, we got a good staff now...Now if Niners offer king's ransom to go from 3 to 2 then I would absolutely listen if I were the Jets

This is the second quarterback in a row that Douglas is reportedly wining and dining the family. It feels weird to me as I've never really heard of it. Maybe it's how the next generation of draft picks operates because of a softer generation?

But if JD HAS decided to go all in on Zack, I don't think JD would have recruited the fam and committed to Zack a month ahead of the draft, just like Young said at the end 'look, a lot can happen'. I don't think JD would have locked himself in this far in advance. Draft night maybe, but a month ahead? Hard to believe.

Interesting JD would bother going to Fields' (and all the rest) proday if he's already 100.0000% in on Zack. If JD does go rookie QB, I agree it almost has to be Zack Wilson. The more he likes Zack, the less likely he is to trade down for a different QB. Do you think he's stopped taking calls? I don't.
