I just don't see Fields lasting this long. Even if Shanahan somehow selects Mac over Fields, which given his expression at Mac's workout and subsequent call to Fields is less likely, Fields has gotta be picked up with the next pick. I think it is a pretty crazy scenario where he lasts 'till 8 to Carolina, but #11 is pretty much a fantasy land.
Yo'll loved that last link I posted of JT O'Sullivan of Zach Wilson's Houston game, where he gave quite a bit of some fair criticism. Well he studied hard for the last week to come up with overall QB draft class rankings based on what he has seen on film, and here it is: Watch 'till very end
He showed Wilson's weaknesses in this video. If the Jets draft him despite his weaknesses, then they see those weaknesses as fixable. Wilson does seem to have the winning attitude and drive that JD is looking for evidenced by the fact that he improved dramatically from 2019 to 2020. I can't wait for the draft. It should be very interesting indeed.
Come on now, this was football comedy gold - if you listened to original Chris Simms video. Chris didn't really say some of these things, but this was a parody, so it's OK to exaggerate. I thought JT overdid it talking about Fields though, Simms never made an issue of that anonymous report, and JT went too hard on it - that's the only part I didn't like about the video. One thing is clear though - JT does not like Simms. I did say before I thought JT was a bit harsh on Zach on some throws (like the jump ball analyzed by Jenkins, which I thought was not bad at all), and given Simms was so high on Zach, I can see why.
I doubt McShay has any actual influence over GMs, only in public perception, which, along with $5.00 can get you a latte at Starbucks (I think - I never go there). In this case, he's obviously looking for clicks.
After seeing all the pro days, watching the highlights of Wilson, Fields and Lawrence I'm still favouring picking Justin Fields @2. I also forced my girlfriend to watch these too, without giving her any preconceptions about them at all, she didn't know anything about them. As why I showed them to her, some of you might remember (probably not though ) from the"introduce yourself"-thread that I mentioned that my girlfriend used to play QB in Finnish women's league and a few games in national team. She didn't like Darnold from the beginning, she would constantly say when Jets played why they don't put the back-up in play because Sam looked lost to her. I always made excuses for Sam, he's so young, he's so inexperienced, play calling sucks, OC sucks, HC sucks, he's been injured and so on and so forth, you all know the drill... So, what did she had to say about these prospects. This is how she ranked them; -Fields -Wilson -Lawrence She couldn't say what technically/mechanically she liked about them, she just said that by eye test alone, that's the order for her. I was on team Fields before, this just enforced my opinion. But I wouldn't be disappointed if we drafted Wilson either, I've warmed to him along the way as well. That's where I stand, now just waiting for the draft to see what happens. I trust Douglas to make a right decision.

I would say the latest he goes is 9 to denver. I could see carolina taking lance over him if niners go jones. all 5 top QBs seem destined to go in the top 10 though
