ill check it out. of course there is a ton of different factors, probably the biggest one being the willingness to prepare for the competition. these guys can all throw the ball and can all read defenses. its the guys that put the work in and understand the nuances of the game that seem to be the ones who are the most successful. its alot to ask of someone, but its what it takes.

Well I was seriously impressed when I read what Wilson was able to do in the CC game with less than 35 seconds left from his own 8 yard line. I was reminded of that line from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid when they're being chased all over the country, and even over solid rock by the posse, Butch says "How can they do that? Can you do that? I can't do that!" And apparently this wasn't a one-off, this is what Wilson does all the time. And like you said, this is major part of what determines who becomes successful, which make Wilson the guy for me.

Sorry, I'm still old school calling it PAC 10 from when the Trojans ruled. But still goofed on calling it Big 10. My bad.

It would totally be SOJ for us to trade down before draft day, only for Urban Meyer to pass on Trevor Lawrence.
TL goes on to be a monster for the team we gave him to. Sam throws 30 INTs for us.
    THAT's SOJ.

It was crucial to the history of the Jets that they win 2 games. We're so much better off today!!

Honestly, part of me expects that to happen.

We always have been wrong. Financially it bodes better to make the change and this staff is all new.

What makes JD sleep better at night? He probably is going to ponder about the qb's he would pass

What the Jets should do is keep Sam, since we won't get much for him anyways, but still draft Wilson too. Let them compete and worse case is Sam sucks and we move on to Wilson sooner rather than later. Best scenario, Sam does good under the new coaches and system and we trade him for a much better deal when the first starting QB gets hurt this year.

SOJ would be we do exactly that and Wilson ends up being a bust and Sam goes on to win a superbowl.

    The trouble with that is...

The horrible coaching is still here so ergo Sam would also still be horrible here.

What an utter shit show it all is.

One year we may finally get it right but it doesn't look like this team, CS and GM are going to be it.

    Bollocks.

Why can't people understand that it was not really about Sam or Zach. It was the timeline of the team. Sam's contract is why he is not ton this team. To build a contender you need a super star QB, a low cost rookie or low cost vet.

Sam is in a position that he does not have to carry a team and they have him for a good price where the team is at now. Same with Teddy, he would get killed on this roster.

Now we three years three years to figure out if Zach will be a superstar or average. If he is average and the team starts another rebuild he is gone. If he is average and JD and Saleh build a solid team around him we will make a run. If he is a superstar we will make a run sign him to a huge contract and probably be like Seattle.

    Its only money.

Keeping Sam would have meant adding three or four quality starters.

Impact players on both sides of the ball could make the difference.

No it would not have. Potentially in a couple of years but not this year then you cant afford to pay anybody because you are paying your Qb.

No, Sam would not get paid until next year.

Our haul in the draft would have a whole year of experience before that happens.
