Shanahan and Lynch are at the Alabama pro day, are they really taking Jones @3?

Watching some of pro day now. Just can’t quite see Jones as the third pick at all.

Perhaps a buddy picking higher than them told them not to worry about Fields so they went to Wilson and Jones’ pro days instead ;)

Let me guess, you haven't seen Mac Jones' Pro Day today? And this was a very high degree of difficulty throw.

Michael Lombardi looks like the lovechild of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble.

I didnt lol. I will watch on the wknd. I did see Fields dime, what was that 60 yards? Then to top it off he ran a 4.4 40 Yd dash, and he actually tumbled a little. Wow.
I dont mind Jets drafting Fields, Wilson, Lawrence... I just mind blind hate and blind love for a player

Reading some of these posts, Jets are better off drafting Wilson. The fans won't be as patient with Fields.

Our offensive talent is still terrible.
Will have to be patient whether it’s Wilson, Lance, Fields or Darnold starting.

Just saw one of those mocks predicting that Atlanta will take Kyle Pitts. Finally someone figured out why the Jets are staying a #2.

To be fair, Shanahan’s criteria here is that his QB has to be better than “98% of the people in this country”. I’m not Mac’s biggest supporter, but I’ll cautiously say that there aren’t 6.64 million better QBs than him in America.

I think you missed all the events. eagles tried to trade up to 2 for wilson. JD said no were taking him. They didn't want fields. so SF traded up to 3 for a QB as they were ok with someone not wilson/fields (rumor is mac jones) then the eagles traded back out of 6 to 12 becuase they wanted more picks and didn't like any QB not names tlaw or wilson over what they have in hurts. The jets at this point are locked into wilson

You may be right but I think that a new staff will not say that they can't work with a young QB who can make all the throws and insist the team draft a new QB. Makes no sense to me.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/touchd...n-fields-2021-nfl-draft-processing-speed/amp/

Orlavsky breaking down a couple of plays from OSU's playbook.

I found it looking for a quote from Day talking about how many option routes they run in their offense.

Sort of explains why so many of Field's throws were to the 1st read. Also pours some cold water on the 'slow processing' narrative.

70% of Fields’ passing yards are air yards. So the offense is geared to throw downfield very little YAC routes. A lot of the concepts don’t even have hot routes.
