How? Wilson did it smoother. This is what I don’t understand about the fanboys. Who gives a shit how the ball got there... it got there. Those were two great throws, Wilson looked prettier doing it, both were completions.
You could be right. Lance likely has slightly more upside though. His high end throws are just filthy
Wilson was rolling out the opposite direction his receiver was running. Fields and receiver were running the same direction. Different throws.
At this moment in time, I would take either wilson or fields but they need to sit and learn for the season and we will see Sam at the helm next season.
I don’t agree that he needs to sit for a year, although it would be ideal if you’re in that kind of situation where he can. I feel like that will help any rookie QB though. He needs some improvement for sure, but these guys can improve while playing during the season, it’s not an either/or. I don’t know, I liked Josh Allen, Herbert, and Lamar Jackson more than most, and I’m just going to trust what I saw/liked/ and project for Fields. We sometimes over analyze these things way too much and end up with horrible choices across the board over franchise QBs.
Sideline reporter says GM's saying his throws on the run look forced. As I was saying Great day overall though. Very accurate, great ball placement, great deep balls.
They would be correct but as I said in my prior post, who the hell cares? It got there. He's got the arm to overcome a bad base in an off-platform throw.
I believe the Fix is in for the Jets taking Wilson and cue the 49ers that we are hands off Fields,,so they moved up behind us But could JD and Saleh shock the world and take J Fields for some reason ? The Pro Day is looking good and I still remember him playing thru a massive hit from the Clemson game.
Rober Rang Wyatt Davis 2nd or 3rd round lol I'd take him twice in the third round, he isn't reaching the third round
That was fun! Fields looked really good. Jones, not so much, but this is just part of the evaluation process. There must be more to Jones than meets the eye, right? From what I have seen, Justin Fields is a clear Top 5 pick. I don't think he will get past #4 overall. Should be 3. I like Lawrence #1, Wilson #2, Fields #3. Still not sure about Trey Lance or Mac Jones. I trust that Lance has a bright future from what others have said, and that Jones must be a genius or something, because I don't see the NFL part to his game.
Hopefully not a Jets scout. Not because I don't want Fields, but because Wilson's was better and I would have to question our entire scouting department if they thought Fields had the best workout "in a while" let alone in the past week.
People act like this is some kind of surprise. He was with Trevor Lawrence as the top dogs since high school and all the way up until about a month ago. I don’t see how Fields played himself out of that spot, in fact quite the opposite, and the pro-day should just solidify that. Does he need some refinement? Of course he does, but let’s not try to force something. Just my opinion on it.
