It seems like every year, we try to guess our organization's vision for rebuilding this pathetic franchise. Focus on the draft, develop young talent, improve team speed, improve the OL/DL, find free agent values, make splash signings, trade up, trade down (rarely), 4/3, 3/4, develop a young QB, sign a veteran, and on and on. Just look at the "visions" set forth in this thread to get an idea of how dysfunctional we are!

The fact is that this organization has lacked any consistent vision for 30+ years. We have no guiding star and no fricken clue where we are headed, except for more losing.

    Sorry for the negativity.

Not a bad set of points, but hey, we're JETS fans, we hope for the best!

The only way I would give up the 2nd pick is if we get a top 10 pick in return who I would use on Pitts. The article really makes no sense because whatever position we draft, it will be cheap. They also just spent money on a WR. I also think QB will control their draft. If they believe Mac/Mond is just as good as Wilson, we could trade down for a bonanza. If we stay at #2, it will be a predictable draft.

Not this year. There is a top offensive player not a QB. They may trade down but only if they are sure he will be there.

I agree. This year will be offense focused in the early rounds. WHich player are you talking about. Pitts?

Best since Megatron I'm told. If he is he has to be the pick.

smiths game is clearly outstanding. jeremiah podcast says his professionalism is beyond reproach too. leery about his size of course. saw him take a hit in one of the playoffs and iirc it stunned him a bit. but i think at 6’+ he’s got the frame to add 10-15 nfl pounds. They also said you could scheme a guy like this so that he doesn’t get the press coverage at the line just keep him in motion.
