I don't know. The WRs run off the screen. The only receiver I can see in this clip is #21 (Gore), and he is open on the right sideline. Sam looks at him, but doesn't pull the trigger. I don't know if he didn't have confidence in himself or why he didn't pull the trigger.
In the for what it's worth department: http://playlikeajet.com/2021/03/exc...son-would-love-to-play-for-the-new-york-jets/ 2021 NEW YORK JETS FREE AGENCY EXCLUSIVE: STEELERS’ CORNERBACK STEVEN NELSON WOULD “LOVE” TO PLAY FOR THE NEW YORK JETS It is well known that the New York Jets have a gaping hole at the cornerback position, with only promising 2020 5th round draft pick Bryce Hall as a legitimate starting option on the current roster. Going into the NFL draft in such a desperate spot at one of the league’s most important positions would be a terrible idea, which is something some of us having been screaming from the rooftops the past few days. One player who could help alleviate arguably the biggest weakness on the New York Jets’ roster is Steven Nelson. Nelson, a 28 year-old CB currently playing for the Steelers, has reportedly been given permission to seek a trade and if no trade were to get done, he would almost certainly be released. Over the past 3 seasons, Nelson has been both durable and remarkably consistent, which fits exactly what the New York Jets need at the cornerback position. But while Nelson is available and seemingly perfect for what ails Gang Green’s pass defense unit, would the star CB be interested in playing in NY? Apparently, the answer is a resounding, “Yes!” As revealed on today’s episode of the Play Like A Jet podcast, uStadium co-founder Nick Spano spoke with Nelson over the weekend and was told that the former Oregon State Beaver is well aware of how badly the New York Jets need a cornerback and would “love” to play in Robert Saleh’s defense, but that the decision wasn’t “up to him,” meaning that Gang Green would have to work out a trade for him or make him a strong offer if he is eventually released by Pittsburgh. While Spano added that he has not been told whether the Jets would indeed pursue Nelson in a trade or if the star corner becomes a free agent, the uStadium co-founder said he does believe there is a good chance the player would be on Joe Douglas’ radar.
Connor Hughes said that with regards to CBs in FA that K'waun Williams heard from the Jets early on and told him to be patient, and he hasn't heard from them since. Adoree Jackson didn't hear from the Jets at all. Interesting. On this same podcast, Connor said that he talked to Mac at the Senior Bowl the year after Mac drafted Sam. He asked him if he thought there were 3 FQBs in the draft. Mac said, "No, that he only thought there were two: Sam and Baker Mayfield, and Baker Mayfield is who he wanted." He didn't like Josh Allen. Thought he was too risky and too much he had to work on. Connor asked him if he wasn't worried about the Giants, but Mac said, "No, that their league sources told them that Dave Gettleman was absolutely infatuated with Saquon Barkley and was going to take him. He wouldn't even take calls regarding the 2nd pick." Until Mac heard that, he was worried about the Broncos trading up to take Sam, because Elway loved Sam. Connor said that he thinks there are only 3 teams who still have interest in Darnold, SF, Denver and maybe the Eagles. He thinks the Jets will get a 2 for Darnold, but that that JD better make the trade soon as Sam's value is diminishing as teams move on/make other plans.
not that i wish bad thimgs, but stroke potential on sidelines is high... and he is a schmarmy fukkker
his value diminished as he accumulated starts where he threw for less than 200 on the regular..... the tape is there its bad
He showed a lot as a #2 RB when he was paired up with Freeman but what was that now 3-5 seasons ago since he showed that form? Not so good for 49ers
Yep. Cager was WIDE open https://jetsxfactor.com/2020/10/08/...-qb-who-isnt-seeing-the-field-sabos-sessions/
If posters have any understanding of the game and QB play, seeing things like this should show them and convince them that Darnold is not a QB whom the Jets should keep. It's just mind boggling to me to see posters saying that they think we should give Darnold one more chance or roll with him.
Interesting to see some big names still available, albeit older vets. I like Kwoun Williams for slot CB. Makes a lot of sense. I would take a flyer on G Trai Turner. I really think his down year was due more to injury than anything. I would also bring in KJ Wright as the SAM backer. Would be a stop gap until we could draft a younger player Just no rbs from that list please.
He would def take Williams and/or Nelson. I also like the idea of adding Wright for the right price as well. Good leadership.
Anyone else thinking Pittsburgh may be terrible this season? They luckily started (11-0), then fell apart. Now keep losing pieces left and right and all they have done is keep Ben (who looked done) and Juju. I think they could possibly even finish 4th in the North if Burrow is healthy and continues to improve.
