If we use him correctly, like Rap says we will, that’s a nice signing.

The only thing I don’t like is this probably means no Neal but you can definitely do worse than Maye and Joyner.

And that's a real nice price.

    This is a great signing!

Every time he played safety he graded out excellent for the season, even finishing 2nd rated overall one year. He will pair nicely with Maye

Solid signing. Need a CB now. I can't even name our starting corners.

Lost his starting job last year...I guess for depth?

Bryce Hall can be a good #2 with experience. Still need a #1.

One year deal probably means he is for depth and a placeholder for a draft pick.

Coming from a slot CB background, do the Jets view Joyner as a FS, or playing that SS Cam Chancellor / Jamal Adams role in this D (which is like another LB at times)?

I can definitely see Maye playing SS, as he has the physicality and instincts for it.

and speaking of slot CBs, please re-sign Poole already.

The Raiders used Joyner in the Nickel and not his preferred position as Free Safety where he excelled in his last two seasons with the Rams. This is great signing for Jets, a veteran who can mentor younger Jets Like Ashton Davis, Bryce Hall, Lamar Jackson and Javelin Guidry.

Interesting so he was a FS?
This could mean Maye over to SS where he can be more of a playmaker.

Davis can be a backup until he proves himself worthy of PT. Also Guidry flashed in the slot, curious if Saleh likes him there.
