I'm not confusing either. I'm merely pointing out the fact that you somehow feel bad for someone's revenue decreasing when they still make enough money in a single year so that ten generations of their family will never have to work again. Even in a down year.

And restructuring contracts defers the money so it quite literally creates more cap space that they can use this year.

The key thing in cap vs cash dept is to remember that NFL owners hate putting actual cash into their teams. The NFL is like an endless cash source for them and having to sink real assets into the team is kind of a bad feel, especially if they don't win after doing that.

That would be awesome. I'd definitely move McGovern to OG if the Jets can sign Hudson.

Maybe he learned from the fiasco of us trading Teddy B for a third, maybe he thinks hanging onto Sam until some dumb team is desperate after an injury or two to cough up a first for him :)

Of all the things we can slag JD off for (is there that many?) his trade dealings are certainly not one of them.

They have a threshold they have to spend anyway though and if they ultimately do win, they'll make more money via playoff games and merchandise and what not. It's a revenue sharing system as well so they're rarely putting that much money into it in any event.

Maybe the Texans value Sam in a potential trade with them? Maybe the plan on keeping Sam and having him battling with a rookie. Could always trade him if/when a starter gets hurt during the summer or early in the season

I don’t know..if no one is offering anything worth a shit I’d rather keep him for now and let it play out

That's a good point regarding Sam and the Texans. I really am just tired of seeing him play.

Keanu Neal would be a intriguing at WLB. He already plays like a fast LB.

That’s a lot of money for a backup qb on a shitty team.

They can easily rework his contract. It is not about money, but poor decision making upstairs and on the coaching staff. Time for a coaching and front office change or 2. Wilson is not the problem.

right. He played under our DC last year too so he’d be familiar with the scheme.

Seeing how Joe Douglas has handled his business, that is, naming a new coach, his second free agency and his first draft, what could make anyone think he is going to make a big deal for any of the "W" QB's. He has a plan, build through the draft and he has stuck to it.

Quality young man. The kind Joe wants. And he can play too.

1983 was in my opinion the worst Jets season. It was the last season at Shea, the start of the Joe Walton era, and a miserable year where they kept giving you hope but in typical Jets fashion, they crush you to pieces in the end. Then they moved to New Jersey.

What made you become a Jets fan? Pain? :D
