Bro since when have you become so negative? My goodness, relax and pop a xanex. None of us here know better than JD or we would all be GMs. If you're going to be this emotional and upset over it just log off the net for the day and chill. Lawson signed LFG
Knock me over with a feather! I don't believe it! An actual signing of a very good player at a position of need!
Oh fuck not 31 year old Kevin Zeitler and Jon Feliciano on the leagues worst run blocking offensive line. Five guards signed. You wanna count the rest for us? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/guard/
Turner played hurt (groin) last year. I just feel Clowney is going to have a renaissance during the second half of his career. I'm not expecting him to get crazy money. 2 years , $20 million
No, I just don't like how slowly JD moves. I knew he had been aggressive trying to get Thuney, and figured they were working, but until the announcement of Davis' signing, the results had been slow. I don't care how busy or hard they were working, it's the results that matter and filling holes/needs. This is a good start, but I want to see the signing of Gabe Davis or another OG, and see the signing of Hendrickson or Lawson confirmed. When that happens I can relax and breathe easier.
He's also a very good blocker and is a perfect fit for our new offense. I really like this signing. With Robinson and Godwin tagged, I was hoping the Jets would sign Davis.
I was reading comments on a tweet about us getting Sherman a month ago and the concensus was you can have him just please don't take K'waun. SF fans love him, he's an excellent replacement for Poole.
You might be right. May be he is targeting Jones with his first pick? Thuney leaving him is bound to hurt his OL though. They struggled last year.
$30 mil guaranteed which is the important part. I like this deal. It's a slight overpay but that's what you do when you're talking about a 26 year old that's in demand at a position of need around the league.
Knew Lawson was in play as soon as La Canfora tweeted an hour or so ago that it looked like he was staying with Cincinnati.
I'm not wanting just short-term results, but when you sign younger FA (24-27) they can be long-term additions. I think there's a middle ground between building only via the draft and going the short-term route in FA. The Jets need a mix of good veterans and rookies/young players. They need to build a winning culture, and to do that, they actually have to win, not just talk about winning. They need to show the fanbase that they're taking positive strides forward, not baby steps. More importantly, they need to build around whomever our QB will be. Adding quality to our OL was a FA must and so far, we've done nothing to upgrade the OL.
Sorry, I didn't initially. I did realize that later with your subsequent posts. I'm not great at picking up facetiousness or sarcasm. Sorry!
They have a way of losing good linemen, then grooming a great replacement. I'm not too worried. Thanks though. I'm more worried with Bakhtiari coming back healthy and on time.
I wasn't worried then. It was only tonight when I saw that the Jets had only signed a 2nd tier LB that I became worried and frustrated. Sorry you lost the 2:00 under.
