I’m definitely a great deal more optimistic than two years ago that’s for sure.

I’m encouraged by sensible organisational changes with the reporting lines. A credible GM for the first time in decades. A major HC and staff upgrade. A good draft and cap position.

The team was fucking dreadful last year and it cannot help but improve. There’s lots of possibilities and I’m gonna trust in the process for the first time since Parcells.

Hard to say until we see Saleh coach a game. I understand we're all elated to be done with Gase and rightfully so but we're all just assuming Saleh knows what he's doing.

I am highly optimistic that we got the Head Coach and the GM needed to rebuild/develop this team. Beyond that I have no expectations.

They have to have a draft like the last one pretty much every year to put the losing behind us permanently. If the draft doesn’t yield better results, we are still pretty screwed

I am the most optimistic for the Jets that I've been in a decade.

When is the last time you remember multiple sports radio stations interviewing the newest Jets head coach?

Whether Watson wears the green and white or not not, I am confident that between Douglas and Saleh the Jets will draft well, sign some key free agents and become a force to be reckoned with.

I've seen it all before. Just win. I have no hype in me. No optimism. Just black bile and demons

But it's hard not to like Saleh. He's a culture changer...but he's still a first time NFL coach. There will be some growing pains. But no doubt he will foster a better team environment than Gase. Gase was a trainwreck from day 1. Just not a leader

One of the more realistic takes I've read on here. Remember a lot of fans talked themselves into believing Gase/Williams combo could work. I get being excited for the culture change but let's see the guy coach a game.

It's a Jets fan tradition to anoint every new GM/HC the long awaited savior. Remember all the "in Mac we trust"?

I'll believe it when I see it. The upcoming draft will tell me most of what I need to know about JD and we'll see about Saleh once the season starts.
