Models have been showing even higher totals since last night and all day thus far this could really be some storm

I'm working the overnight shift on Monday. I'm guessing I am going to see plow and maintenance traffic all night. Hopefully the winds aren't too bad. The area I am in loses power like clockwork in a big snowstorm with heavy winds.

Boys. Record breaker incoming. Here is a heads up. Down here on the Beach... Or just off is where your storm is reorganizing.
We had a half inch of rain predicted. Now up to 2" of rain forecast.
Here is my stupid theory. The deeper the low...or the stronger the storm...the colder the solution.
Counter clockwise rotation of storm right? Pulling down that real cold air sitting at the Canadian border just above NY state.
This change will result in more snow with even higher ratios.
    So...here goes.
18 to 26 for all just north of the rain snow line (no..no clue where that is but east of i95 now)
Some will hit 30 Poconos NW JERSEY...AND perhaps almost all north Jersey.
    Cbg. Yes....brook...yes...fjf...yes but moved?
    Cman...close
Long island will tell everyone's story.
If a sleet snow battle sets up on the radar...go 40 miles north and west of the battle and their you will find 30".
    Long duration also.
Be ready. Be prepared. And shovel snowblow often.

Expect by tonight winter storm warnings to be changed for all to blizzard warnings. For everyone. Expect blizzard conditions to take hold late Monday morning and last late into the night.
Expect snow to continue on and off for some and heavy for others on Tuesday depending where that final heavy band sets up.

If I wasn't such a wimp I would tell you last thing...so drop the wimp.
    These models output for qpf?
Everyone gets over 2 feet except those that mix. Some closer to 3 feet
And want to know something ? I'm buying it totally.

They just updated to 6” actually I’m right in the middle of their 6”-8” range. I’ll take that over 12” plus!

You guys know I like to warn bust potential.
One bust potential we can eliminate is will it go south...north...blah blah.
    No...this will happen for all.
Here is where numbers can get dragged down.
Watched 3 separate future radars for duration of storm ( which had heavy snow still falling Tuesday morning for many) and when the storm wraps up and is closest...man oh man that sleet and rain line gets dragged into almost all of long island... NYC...and eastern nj including NE Jersey.
One of the models had mixing from around 7pm Monday until 6 am Tuesday....(clearing throat) ummm...well talk about going from almost two feet to 8 to 10 real fast.
And that's it. That's the only bust potential which if I were up there really following this would make this one of the few easy ones.
When and if the sleet starts tapping at the window...check the time. A few hours? Take off about a half foot...much more than that? Bust
Never happens? 2 feet of snow...ummmm....plus.

First flakes of snow in Fairfield County, CT.

20-odd people I would normally see from 5-7am have already gone by this evening, a sign that management thinks the morning commute will keep people home. It costs to open up guest suites for employees and there are a lot of them open tonight.

Type in search storm team news 4 new York and look to see live button. Tremendous job they do with current future. Tell me you found it.
Current update. Central new Jersey is getting smashed as we speak. Has to be close to 3" an hour on Doppler. That band is slowly moving north and will be in nnj NYC between midnight and 2 am.....when that arrives its game on.

Their predictions are pretty damn good too. I suspect that within the 18 to 24 will eventually be a 24 to 30 + range
In fact I guarantee it. Hell yeah
