What the Rams gave up is being severely overrated in the initial reactions we've seen to the trade. A "first round pick" is not a standardized commodity; they can and do have wildly different values. The ones the Rams gave up are at the low end of the first round pick totem pole.

haha edgelord coming through. This is the type of response you’d get from someone who’s got real life problems. Wish you the best, man.

And proof that on a long enough timeline a monkey randomly pounding keys can accidentally type existing words in semi-literate sentences.

Can’t condemn your arguments, man. I bet that one works with the ladies. Do you have a girlfriend?

You forgot to ask whether I live in my mother’s basement as well. You should probably get rid of your Insults 2002 edition.

ooo deflection. Answering by not answering. Couldn’t care less about your mom’s basement. Just wanna know how this edgelord does with the ladies.

I’ll work on my arguments 2021 edition. Don’t need them to be condemned.

There’s no deflection because you didn’t ask the question for any realistic concern about my relationship; it was the cliche last resort attack because you couldn’t address and dispute what had previously been said.

I’m glad you just learned the concept of deflection and are trying to use it; but you still used it incorrectly.

you can type all that shit and it won’t change the fact that a dude referencing 2002 is probably a 45 year old virgin who gets the best moments in his life off of winning arguments that no one understands. Again, what’s your relationship status?

EDIT: you argued semantics with me about the word consider and you played games tonight with Broadwaysam. Now, will you answer the question?

You don’t even realize you are simply committing ad hominems because you can’t dispute what was said, and you suffer such a significant mental disability you don’t even grasp that the ad hominem is inherently the tactic of the person who has lost the argument on the merits of the argument itself.

Calling someone an idiot isn’t ad hominem? How can you argue about losing the merits of an argument when you attacked first? Again, and stop deflecting, do you have a girlfriend? Simple yes or no.

Could you both stop hijacking the thread? Nobody wants to read through two pages of drivel because neither of you want to give up the last word.

    Thanks.

Are they wrong in the head?

This could apply to both teams after further reading lol

What a bizarre trade. The Lions have just taken on an expensive guy on a downward trajectory probably meaning that they remain also-rans for another 3 years. The Rams have dumped a contract but are devoid of draft picks and have a good-but-not-elite QB.

Some of the NFC cap/roster situations are terrible at present (Saints, Rams) - the NFC South or West could easily become the shitshow that the NFC East currently is.

That '23 first will be for goff and having to pay him 50 mill over the next two years. Pretty much guaranteed.

That leaves a mid to late third round pick and a late first rounder next year. That's not a lot at all.

Staffs got to go where they wanted, and Mcvey got to send goff to the abyss.

Overall this doesn't change Watson, as he's still got to go all out and do his next steps (Jamal playbook). Texans won't let him go until he calls the owner and easterby out.

    1. Ok deal for both teams

    2. Doesn’t change compensation for Watson

    3. Jets were probably one of the 7-8 teams

    4. New England doesn’t get Stafford!

This is assuming that the Rams make it as far as they did this year which is a dangerous assumption. Stafford could tear out his shoulder in week 1 and the 2022 pick could turn into #1 overall. Teams take nosedives all the time for inexplicable reasons, maybe this is the year that the players begin the question the coaching ability of McBae. The true value of this trade is unknown and could be a bust for the Lions, or it could turn into a goldmine for them.

The #2 pick in this year's draft is a somewhat known commodity because the draft class is set so in theory it is more valuable, but the Texans are dumb enough to be dangerous and will likely point directly to the number of draft picks without hearing any arguments about the perceived value of the Lions '22 and '23 picks.
