Interestingly of the top 10 rated coaches of the last decade, in terms of their roles before landing their first HC role: - 5 were defensive co-ordinators - 3 were offensive co-ordinators - 2 were QB coaches All of them had extensive experience of coaching before getting a HC role.
You know whenever we start thinking that, the Jets run into the ring like Stone Cold Steve Austin, clock the other team with a chair and dump cheap beer all over them, and grab their Laughing Stock belt back. That's our championship, buddy.
Maybe he is a super religious guy so McNair is giving him some respectability. Even more possible is that they literally don’t have buyers for the job. Crazy because there are only 32 of them. I think they should hire a Caldwell or Marvin Lewis at this point and give them five years to turn things around.
I wouldn't have minded him as a QB coach here and let him work his way around, he obviously helped Sam who hasn't looked good since he left but of course, GASE.
More than fitz? Lol. I thought we made huge error bringing him in and not keeping fitz. He was a tier below. I suppose he was serviceable backup, but was not impressed. As far as head coach, there is no way to know, he has no coaching experience. Might be good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah I got on here to see if the Jets were up to anything and this is really not what I was expecting to be contemplating right now.
This was definitely true for a long time with Jets, but I believe having JD as our GM will prevent this from happening. God I hope I don’t end up regretting these words.
That post you just made could be the first page of TGG Mad Libs magazine. This was definitely true for a long time with Jets, but I believe having ___________ as our __________ will prevent this from happening.
No way. We're not the NFL doormat...worse run team anymore, the Texans are. JD has us moving in the rite direction. Maybe Josh as QB coach, but HC...no way. I'm good with Saleh & his CS.
How did you come up with this assessment? It'd have more value if you are able to explain without the phrase "player coach"
Well now I know that Josh McCown is a recovering porn addict. Learn something new everyday. As far as the thread title. You actually posted this after Saleh was hired, that would lead most to assume you question the Saleh hire and think a back up QB, who was never a great success in this league, who has never coached above the high school level, would have been a better choice.
