CJ: on when woody is coming back and what will change: he's on a plane back right now. he's the owner, not exactly sure but he will be chairman i'll be vice chairman and doing day to day stuff. woody will have final say. looking foward to teaming up with him again. we work well together and enjoy each others company
RS: on how bad the offense was how involved will he be what will the offense look like: OC is familiar with the shanahan system and what they created. nobody knows it better then he does. and along with john beton excited to see them install their system. lots of pre snap movement. clear identity. excited about the plan in place for offense and nobody better in the world to run it then our staff
RS: on his ability to connect with players whats your go to story when connecting with players: players want 2 things form a coach. 1 that you care about their well being. it's not a business its about people and the most important people are the players and it's a personal investment and 2 can you help me make plays on sundays. I do everything we can to help them on sundays and care for their well being as a person
RS: what does it mean to be the 1st muslim HC and are you surprised about the lack of minority HCs: It's humbling. when you look at a full team/locker room and staff it's a melting pot. all with different background and stories. the league does a great job of including everyone and even though the result isn't what they want they are working hard at it. they will get it right
RS: on jets reputation (hard to understand what he said exactly was mumbles): unfair assessment. there is a clear vision of what CJ wants and clear communications. no grey area no black and white. i'm excited to be a part of it. it's just perception not reality

RS: who's influenced you the most in your coaching style and what input do you have with the 2nd overall pic: a lot of different people. my brothers and sisters, my family, all the different coaches i worked with (lists them) my time in seattle with pete carroll and staff was probably the best situation he was in. helped him create his identity. he wants to be like me that's the challenge i was given. I want to be who i am. as far as the pick will be many conversations with JD
Very happy that Saleh reports to Douglas and Douglas reports to the owners. It's not actually about the logistics of it, it's about the message that everyone has a job, and their job is to do that job.
Good to see that the structure has changed. I don’t see why Woody would change it back when he comes back here but it’s the Jets so never doubt how badly they can mess it up. I am also glad the HC is delegating all responsibility for play calling. That’s what a true CEO type coach is, which can’t be said for Bowles and Gase bringing “extensions” of themselves to be invisible while the head coach focuses on the ball. Overall I was expecting a bit more flair but some of the real answers given were very encouraging and covered a lot of issues that this franchise has had in the past. I am excited that this organization runs through Joe Douglas and that Saleh is reporting to him and is responsible for his own staff. This seems like we finally fixed our long standing problems with structure.
All gas no breaks! Bet Jamal is secretly gutted he isn't here for hype man Saleh. Some great snippets from Coach there, including no play calling which is what we wanted. Arthur Smith is going to call the offense in ATL and maybe one reason why we went to Saleh straight after. Note two: Sam Darnold is not in the long term plans as a Jet.
