Yep.... Cutler at 4, and Peterson, even if we have to sell the farm to trade up to get him.

This his hysterical..don't you WATCH the NFL?

Teams go from good to bad or vice-versa in one year.
I can recall people picking the Jets to go to the SuperBowl this past year.
    How did that work out?

There's no way to predict the "likely" top 10 in NEXT years draft.

Have we absolutely exhausted all possible topics regarding the 2006 draft?
which, by the way, is still 7 weeks away!

I like your optimism. I have low expectations going into 2006 but I think you're right. You never know how things will turn out if we get a few decent free agent pickups and a good draft. It will really depend on how Chad is though. My guess is 2007 will be a good year for us

He had his good year once they brought in a coach that was actually capable of developing Brady's considerable talent. I wouldn't use that as a knock on him, rather the fact that he's so incredibly skilled, all he needed was a bit of guidance to rapidly develop.

And Troy Smith may not be any type of prototype NFL QB, but that's the kind of player I'd take on my team any day. He'll fight for everything, has athletic ability, and can consistently beat you with his arm if you let him.

Winston.. I totally disagree... that to me is pure fantasy. We are not that good a football team yet, even if we are 21 mil under the cap, we don't have anywhere near as much talent as people think.

We are not a very talented team but we don't yet know what our team will look like for next year. I don't think Seattle or Pittsburgh is that talented and they were in the SB. I also think Herm last year completely mailed it in starting in the off season and it rubbed off on the team in a big way.

We have had a brilliant off season, not good spectacular. I prefer to have some guarded optimism at this point. I'm not going to jump on Mangini if we suck but I think the entire league sucks and a professional approach along with a couple of key FA's and a solid draft and we might be better than a lot of people are predicting.

    Congratulations!!!!!
You've just won the awards for both "Earlyest Pre-Draft Thread Ever"
    and "Most useless Thread Ever"

How can you possibly be discussing the 2007 draft now!
Can you predict where we will be picking next year?
Can you predict the results of the entire 2006 NCAA and NFL seasons?
Because that is basiclly what you are attempting.

while i agree its ridiculously early to be talkin about the 07 draft...what the hell....im a huge buckeye fan so i watch him a lot and maybe im biased but troy smith will be the number one qb prospect next year.....his development as the season went on last year was remarkable...hes got a very strong arm and hes got great mobility.....hes the guy to watch next year on what should be a very good osu team...
