The new site design is almost ready and it will have a prominent editorial section (just like in the good old days). If anyone would like to contribute by writing editorial articles, please email me at webmaster@theganggreen.com

    Thanks

I had this idea at the beginning of this season but it received none to very little response. Maybe with a better plan there would be more response.

For next year, I’d like to see if there would be a group of people willing to put together a “Scouting Report” for each opponent. What we could do is all get together via PM and discuss different elements of the next opponent. We could discuss Injuries, Play Tendencies, Players analysis, etc. of our next opponent.

We could then take all this information that had been gathered and put together a comprehensive scouting report that we could post on the message board as well as on the Home Page. It could be in its own section or within the Editorials.

Each person would be responsible for gathering certain information. Whatever it is that person feels they could best service the “Scouting Report” whether it’s breaking down the opponent from previous games, stats gathering, rummaging thru the opponents local newspapers to find out internal issues and injury status.

Also things of interest can be added. Historical data (what’s our record vs. this team, what’s our record in this particular stadium, Last meeting between with the opponent and a recap of that game). Game day weather and how can this affect the game? Stuff like that.

Just curious, what kind of editorials do you need. Is there some specific topic that you want written about.

    I've thought about a blog. I think that's a terrific idea personally.

If I ever get a break from writing papers for school I'd consider writing an editorial or two. I know that editorials are opinion, but I'm afraid mine might be too opinionated or bias. I generally don't have much middle ground regarding football, I either like something or I don't.

I sent my Editorial after the Bills game, but now it'd be kind of redundant to post it...

I submitted it but I guess it didn't go up? Oh well, love the new homepage though Petro...Great job.

    Petrozza,

I don't know what you're looking for but I'm a capable writer and don't mind contributing to something I'm passionate about. I've had magazine articles published, have a story published in the book Chicken Soup For The Veteran's Soul and have a completed manuscript for a novel which, if I don't get off my lazy ass and stop posting on TGG, will never get published.

Aside from that, what kind of articles or editorials are you looking for? What is the address of the site and where can we see examples of the kind of content you're looking for?

Be glad to help if you'll have me.

    Section 227, Row 5

As long as it doesn't read like a 2 year old wrote it it'll be fine. IMO Mr. Author.
