IDK how you can make that comparison.

Bowles was a fine coach he just had absolutely no ability to make in game adjustments. How Saleh handles those situations as a HC remains to be seen.

Plus, it looks like we have a GM who actually knows how to manage a roster for once.

I'm not doing cartwheels if that helps. LOL Seriously, I'm ecstatic for all the long-suffering Jets fans on this site who are deliriously happy over the hire. I'm glad that they have something to be happy, hopeful and excited about. I just hope they're right. I trust JD, but part of me still feels like it could be a mistake. For offensive continuity (which is more important than D continuity due to the QB position), I think it would have been better if our new HC was a former OC. JD obviously didn't like Daboll or Smith as much as Saleh, and I trust JD, so I'm hoping for the best. I like the fact that he coached under Carroll and Shanahan, and like his energy. If he brings Mike LaFleur as his OC, that will make it a lot better for me, but we need to make sure that LaFleur stays for at least 3-4 years before he starts interviewing for HC jobs because it would really hurt to lose him and the rookie QB have to go through another OC and system in his 2nd or 3rd year. I will get on board with this and root for him and the Jets as hard as anyone and hope that he will be our greatest HC ever.

If they don't draft a QB, I will be shocked and more than a little dismayed. I could be wrong, but I just no longer believe in Sam Darnold. Of course, it would be better for the team and for us fans if I am wrong and we can trade down and garner a bunch picks. We could rebuild much faster in that way, and it would be less change. I just don't see that happening. If that's the way they go, I will hope for the best, but once the season starts if Sam looks like the same QB and is sucking, then that will be it for me. It won't matter how good Saleh or LaFleur are if Sam can't get his shit together.

When we talk about minorities, we mean minorities in the US. Are you really that stupid? Or are you just being a ball buster. When the NFL has rules regarding minority hires it's about minorities HERE. Holy shit.

It would be a bad thing if Sam still looks the same next season and is stinking up the joint. We won't have a QB, will have just passed up on 3 very good/great QB prospects, and the prospects for getting a topnotch QB in 2022 look bleak, so it would probably be 2023 at the earliest before we could hope to get a new QB.

Since supposedly everyone in the NFL still believes that Sam can be a very good QB, I truly hope that we can trade Sam for a 1st and 3rd round pick, and we draft one of Fields or Lance. I like Wilson but his previous surgery on his shoulder really scares me.

THAT would really excite me. I can just see the offense with Fields and Harris running wild, Fields throwing bombs to Mims and Kadarius Toney

Holy shit, did the Jets really hire this guy?

I'm mind blown that it seems like they did something competent.

Half the people with Covid on respirators are more energetic than Bowles.

I am VERY happy with this pick. It really seems like JD put a lot of consideration into this hiring, and Saleh seems to have what we're looking for in a coach. He's also seems like he has that passion that we haven't seen since Rex Ryan, but without the buffoonery.

Will Saleh live up to the hype? Time will tell, but I can't fault JD's decision.

I agree and want the QB in this draft, but I’m not going to say that keeping Darnold and strengthening the team even more is a bad idea. I would actually prefer that Sam turns it around as I like the kid and it would be the best possible scenario for the Jets

It’s risky but if they feel that strongly that Sam can be fixed then go for it. I’m all for whatever path they think is the best at this point
