you cannot possibly have any idea what kind of a coach Glenn might be, Less than zero so why the histrionics?
Ancient news. Harbaugh was bought back to Michigan for one very important role beating Ohio State. He never did. Jets need to look somewhere else Harbaugh will never make it in New York and he is not a Douglas guy. No ties to Ravens and Eagles.
"Hey Aaron, remember when we went (1-15) in 1996 and then Parcells showed up and fixed everything? Can you remember what he did exactly and then come to us and do it again? If so, you are hired!" -Joe Douglas
Guy trade those picks so he could win this year and save his job. They didn't win, he mortgaged the franchise's future for nothing.
I agree with this. I think they overperformed if anything. So he was good in some ways and bad in others (in-game decision making). I don't want him here since, like Gase, he was just fired, but in a different context I wouldn't hate the hire. I would be nervous about the game management issues and hope he would continue to learn and get better on that front.
Jets are interviewing Saleh tomorrow. I suspect this coach search will last 3-4 weeks maybe longer. CJ has said he felt they rushed it last time and with playoffs and findinga time to interview all candidates and then finalist interviews this could go on a long time. I wish we could get some news on any college coach interest. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/07/jets-to-interview-robert-saleh-tomorrow/
I'm glad they are doing that. Not sure if Glenn is experienced enough for the job... yet. But giving a former player the respect and notoriety of an interview helps both him and the team.
In spite of Christopher saying all the "right" things this week, he needs to never mouth the words "no playoff mandate" ever again. I came in to share the same Tweet. While I do know Douglas said he doesn't believe in staff meddling (see Macc & Rhule), he could suggest Glenn to the eventual HC hire and obviously not mandate.
