I’m not critical of the approach, I have no issues with a HC managing both coordinators. Bellicheat, Harbaugh, Tomlin, Carrol, those are just a few of the names that I can think of who do it that way.

I’m more excited about the possibility of the HC answering to the GM instead of them having equal standing with CJ.

God help us all if Douglas gets this coaching hire wrong. If he does it will slam closed the door on anybody other than Dumb and even Dumber having the power to hire a HC again...

I’d forgive any of us that’s been following this team for decades to be a touch cautious but this is positive news.
