Regarding Daboll, my friend mentioned they were saying on one of the sports talk shows that Ken Dorsey the QB coach is the real reason for Allen's turnaround and the general effectiveness of the offense, and Daboll is getting the credit for it.
I'm sure that Dorsey is the one that did the hands on work with helping Allen change his footwork or whatever. Daboll is the one, however, that tailored his offense around Allen, not Dorsey, and that is the most important thing. Most QBs have to be in the right system in order to play their best. Very few QBs can succeed in any system
Here's my overall assessment of the situation... The Johnson's WILL "F" this up. I don't care who we "think" we need or would like. You can take that list, at the beginning of the thread and flush it. I can guarantee you that the coach those two numb nuts want to bring onboard is not on this list. Why would it...neither knows what the hell they are doing. These two jokers could jack up a wet dream. What they SHOULD do is go manage getting a vaccine to the world and let Douglas manage the football team and pick HIS coach!!!!! For once in their miserably lives, and our miserable football existence, let Douglas do what a normal GM does. Let HIM go find someone he wants to work with...CAN work with. It's not rocket science but these two certainly make it much harder than it needs to be.
Outstanding video! Based on your analysis - and subject to finding out more about the various candidates - I think Arthur Smith will bear strong consideration, along with Matt Campbell. I think Daboll is not a the best candidate for the Jets. In general I think they need someone who has been a HC and run an entire program. That kind of rules out Smith, but I think he's attractive in other ways. Anyway, I need to go run errands so will get back to this thread later.
