I preface this post by statng my fingers are crossed and I'm knocking on wood as I type.. Assuming the Chargers (13-2) and Ravens (12-3) take the first 2 spots in the AFC and a bye for the 1st round of the playoffs, that leaves the Pats (11-4) and Colts (11-4) as the other 2 divisional champs. Assuming both the Pats and Colts win next week and, the Jets win and the Broncos win. Who plays who? I believe the tie-breaker is strength of schedule, but frankly I too lazy to figure it out.
I'd like to play the Colts.. I'm sure their confidence has been shaken and it probably wouldn't help them much to play us. Think back to the 2002 spanking when we arguably had less talent.
If Denver wins the will be the #5 seed and will play the Pats because the #4 seed plays the #5 seed. Then if the Jets win against the Raiders then they will have the #6 seed which plays the #3 seed and the #3 seed is the colts. So we will most likely play the colts at home unless the broncos lose and then we would play the pats at home.
remember guys, Colts play in a dome and chad has had great success in Domes, i want to play the colts and their sorry defence
That would work out well. Indy is in disarray atm and this is the perfect time to play them. Also having the Pats play the Broncos works out well too since the Broncos have had their way with the Pats the last couple of years.
Dont you guys see what is happening here? Student vs teacher in the playoffs. Something will happen this week and the Jets will be playing the Pats on wild card weekend. Search your feelings for you know this too be true. It is your destiny young Mangini.
But according to TONY KORNHOLE and JOE THIGHBONE it doesn't matter! Chad doesn't have the arm to win. So what if he already beat Manning, Brees, Brady, Favre, and Trent Green. These quarterbacks all have "Arms". Don't you see! It's hopeless!!! Hopeless!!:breakdance: :breakdance: :breakdance: hmy:
I want the colts. Peyton sucks in the playoffs and Chad plays very well in domes. This is a good matchup for us.
The colts have glaring holes in their defense, but I don't see much harm in playing the Pats. We've played them twice, and beat them once in their own house. Mangini has shown that he can outsmart Belichick, plus, New England is mucher closer than Indianapolis and I would love to grab some tickets haha.
WHo the Jets will play If the Jets WIN first of all (please GOD) Here are the scenarios IF: Indy and Denver WIN then the Jets play AT INDY (3 vs 6) Indy WINS and Denver LOSES then the Jets play AT PATS (4 vs 5) Indy and Denver LOSE and Pats WIN then the Jets play @ INDY (4 vs 5) Indy and Denver and Pats all LOSE then the Jets play @ PATS (4 vs 5) It looks like Jets @ Indy and Denver @ Pats but who knows. Id rather play NE then @ Indy. As bad as they have been they are 7-0 at home and avg like 34 pts a game there. The Jets cant get into a shootout with them (look at Week 3 31-28 loss). NE fits the Jets style more and it should be a close game like our W there (17-14).
if we stay hot...I think we got a chance to win it all....we got a very good team not great, but the scheme and hard practice can get the jets to be tough and physical. the jets are the last yrs version of the Steelers
