I was not a fan but tonight went a long way for me. Guts was top notch...he took a huge hit and came back and threw a TD. His bombs were on point. He had pressure and played well. Yes, many times his receivers were open but he also made tough throws into tight spaces. But I really admired his toughness and guts. That was special. he looked really good in a huge game...always a big plus for me.

But in his last game, he stunk? Very good last night but which QB is the one that arrives in the NFL? We really can't afford to fuck this up.
Just watched the highlights of last night's game, wow! Fields had a field day there, just slinging the damned thing, awesome game from him. This showing gave assurances for me that we are going to get a really good QB even when missing out on Lawrence. I changed my vote, I'm officially on the Fields train from now on.
But people are reacting on a game by game basis. Last week Fields was the worst QB prospect in the draft after stinking the joint out, this week he is probably better than TL according to some. Reactionary shit is the worst shit to base anything on.
Even if the Jets draft a QB at #2 overall they are going to have to bring in someone to compete for the job in camp. Why can’t that person be Darnold?
Flacco or Stafford, keep playing Darnold who is the 32nd ranked QB in his 3 terrible years will make his trade value non-existent
That's my concern, he stunk up the place the prior 2 games. Which guy is the real Fields? 1 game doesn't make a FQB in the NFL. Let's see what he does against Bama and see how he grades out at combine / test etc. I do like that he can go through progressions and hit on #3 look. Darnold has NEVER done that even in college.
Because some team might and likely will see Sam as the next Tannehill and flourish after parting with Gase. That could translate into a high pick (end of 1st or early 2nd round) for him. JD needs to play his cards right and maximize value for him.
Couldn’t agree more ... what we saw last night was amazing !!! That style of play would translate well in the NFL.. he’s better runner than Lawrence .. arm strength just as good.. he supposedly has a good attitude .. good coaching and talent around him... he could be dangerous
I usually agree to knee jerk reactions but I got to say this was the Justin Fields that most thought he would be all year. He had 2 really bad games this year that soured the taste in a lot of evaluations. However he had 5 games that he balled out and showed why he’s the 2nd best prospect in the country
Exactly it hardly seems worth it, get him back on a cheap deal and he can compete, take the number 1 spot until the Rookie is ready, same could be said for Flacco tbh. I see you mention Stafford but he will cost and he won't come here to play 2nd fiddle to a rookie. Darnold is toast but for a 4th it is neither here or there to trade him now, maybe an injury after the season starts will see us gain a better deal. I don't know which QB to draft, I just don't want us to make a monumental fuck up and have 25 years of regret like the Marino cock suckers have had
