I don’t think threads about Lawrence are inherently discussions about the draft simply because there’s nothing speculative about where he’s going; it’s just a matter of who gets to take him.
I agree except for offseason plans. Since offseason plans include FA and which of our own FAs to keep, and sometimes who the poster wants the new HC to be, and those things aren't draft-related.
Damn, I was going to create a thread showing my computer analysis of Frank Gore's average yards per rush when running outside the tackles vs. inside the guards vs. up the middle. I'll also have it in metric system units, too !! Stay tuned......
If it involves the Jets vs. Jacksonville and Trevor Lawrence vs. Other Candidates, it should be in the JETS section. This is a UNIQUE situation where we are almost certainly picking #1 or #2 overall.....and we know which guy we are taking if we finish with the #1 overall.....we're not discussing who we are taking at #5 or #12 or #17 and whether an OT or WR or DL is best at that pick. Good Job, Brook, Cman, and Petrozza.
Good, I was afraid if we made any changes it might lead to the Jets winning a game and blowing Trevor. Don't change ANYTHING.
I understand your opinion, i think we all do, what I don't understand is your constant need to bold, underline, change colors and all those other things you're so fond of. The rest of us are able to get our points across without shouting, please try it yourself - the constant "shouting" does nothing to advance your viewpoint. That may be a thing in other places you comment - it's not here. The problem I have with so much draft talk here is people are now including highlight reels for players who will never see a Jets uniform. I'm not saying such videos should not be posted, just not here. Hell, post it where it belongs, in the draft section, and mention it here if you're commenting anyway if it's that important. It's not to me. It's not that unique a situation either, the Jets have been looking for a quarterback for decades and the comparisons of them have always fit well in the draft section.
We have those functions and I like to use them from time-to-time. I don't "scream" in capitals but I will use boldface or some colors or underlining when I think something should be highlighted. It's not a question of "advancing" my viewpoint, it's just highlighting stuff especially in a longer post. Hope that clears that up. I see your position. I think most of the videos and in-depth posts are on QB's who may or may not measure up to TL. Again, we don't figure to be in this unique position again for decades, let alone years. In a few months, it'll be over.
Once the season is over if the Jets manage to fck up the tank and win a game, then we'll move all of these threads into the draft forum. So in a perverse twist, these threads stay put as long as the Jets lose..
Leave them here. There are only so many Anti Gase posts I can take. I think the draft section is best used for when we are closing in on the draft. For now, lets embrace the tank and all it entails.
What I do understand is your ungovernable need to hector and lecture. If the function to edit posts (bold, hue, etc.) exists, "it's here" in fact and available to anyone for use should they wish...your proclamatory edicts to the contrary. The problem you have.....is personal.. Merry Christmas Johnny Hector.
Bolding is a highlight tool, bolding your entire post doesn't help it stand out Of course, if you hadn't bolded the entire post you would have not then needed to underline a section of it also
