    That won’t happen. Not sustainable.

What if the Jets merged with the Kanas City Chiefs and became a super team? Would you still cheer for the five Jets players that make their roster?

That is not true, California supported 3 teams, Rams, 49ers, and Chargers

California is a state with 40M people. Of course it can support multiple teams. It’s a moot point anyway. There is zero chance of the team leaving NY/NJ.

It would put me out of my misery completely. I would even forget they existed. I wouldn’t even miss them at this point

This. The economics of the NFL and pro sports have only a limited connection to winning. The losingest franchise in the NFL, even in a backwater like Jacksonville, is still worth billions. And a franchise in New York? That thing is a golden ticket. Look at how much the Clippers sold for.

Moving a franchise out of New York is akin to piling up a billion dollars in cash, and lighting the pile on fire.

The franchise being sold would be great.

These days, where you are doesn't matter much--a huge portion of the population is working from home after all. So yeah, I'd be fine rooting for the Toledo Jets, or the Portland Jets, or whatever.

This is an interesting question. Its been over 25 years since I've lived in NY, and have still stuck by these bums. I still have family there (and some that were STH until the PSL debacle), and the JETS are something that still connects us all (mostly for sentimental reasons from when were kids going to games). Its bad enough what they did with the new stadium, but if they gave the local fans a final middle finger, I supposed I'd probably do the same to them.... and I guess just watch whatever weekly matchup seems the most appealing, instead of planning my sundays around the JETS.
    Hard to say really....
