Way worse - Becton takes some blame for the fumble, the poor decision and poor execution on the interception are all on Darnold.
The interception itself was a great play, but the decision and pass by Darnold were incompetence. There was never a chance for a completion there.
This game and the youngsters are showing me how much better we can become next year with a new HC and a new QB. There is a lot more talent that the record indicates.
That's one of the reasons why I believe that we have more talent than we thought earlier. I think some of these young players can play if given the opportunity, good coaching, and the right system. Add a decent power back in the draft, and we could possibly have a decent RB rotation with the rookie, Johnson, Adams and Perine.
Think you are overreacting a bit. A good receiver does not let that ball get picked and probably makes the catch. And the fumble play would be a fumble over 50% of the time no matter who the QB. I am not supporting Darnold stay here just trying to keep it real with the Darnold sucks hyperbole.
That INT is exactly what's wrong with Darnold: rather than got through his progressions he sticks with that first read and makes it easy for the DB to pick it. In Year 3 this should not be a problem still.
but will we pick a good HC? Probably not, we have quite the track record of making the wrong choices.
Yeah, the wuss runs out of bounds almost every time rather than turning up field and risking getting hit.
