I feel like this is an example of someone who actually enjoys the Jets losing so they can complain about them.

You say Flacco did far better, then complain about Sam's completion percentage and yards per game. Darnold has more yards per game this year than Flacco and a higher completion percentage. Who did Flacco play against? The Chargers (3-7), Patriots who suck, Miami, and Arizona. The two teams who aren't bad he got wrecked. Flacco has played like ass against mediocre teams and only got TDs against two terrible teams.

    Darnold this year:

    58% completion
    5.7 Y/A
    3 TD
    8 INT

    Flacco this year:

    55% completion
    6.4 Y/A
    6 TD
    3 INT

Flacco has absolutely been better. Nice try though. I would also add that the TD/INT numbers are especially damning for Darnold because Flacco hasn't played as many snaps as Sam has. To have double Sam's TD's on less attempts is just damning.

I don't enjoy the Jets losing. I just feel a strong urge to push back on all the morons who still think Sam is a good QB despite literally all of the evidence saying otherwise. You're someone who confuses what you want to be true with what is actually true. We all want Sam to do well, but more than that we want the Jets to do well. And at this point that means having someone other than Darnold as QB.

No offense but I'll leave the scouting to the professionals. I'm a fan.

The best thing to come from this thread is the Jets should start Morgan to see if we have in Morgan

At this point of his career, Darnold can't even decide when he should give up on a play, throw the ball away or take off and run. Very poor awareness and slow reaction time for a position which requires a high level of awareness and quick reaction time.

If we lose out on the top two picks I would actually sign Sam to a cheap team friendly deal and if he doesn’t want it then give him the boot. Watching WENTZ and seeing how they are saddled with fools gold is sad to see.

Funny thing is they both suffer from the same problems....mechanics and accuracy

I actually thing the passion think is him taking on the personality of this loser head coach. Gase doesn't give a damn and nobody on this offense seems to give a shit, at least the defense has shown up the past couple of games.

The moment the clock hits zero against New England in week 17, Gase needs to fired into the sun and his loser, low energy mindset needs to be purged from this team.

Sorry can't blame Darnold for being a slow processor - when the coach on the sideline can barely get the play in before the clock hits 0. Darnold has blame, but not nearly enough as Gase and Loggins...

and TLaw not playing for this crap org...the quicker this board realizes this, the better off you guys will accept we'll getting the BYU kid or Trey Lance, and Darnold still finishing out his contract with us.

We can blame Darnold for being a “slow processor”. We can also blame him for bad mechanics, awful footwork, poor pocket awareness, poor field vision, locking on to receivers, not reading defenses pre-snap, etc.

We might not be right about all of it but we can still blame him for it.

We're at the bottom of the league in delay of game penalties this year.

    https://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/delay-of-game?year=2020&view=team

Near the top in 2019 so point taken. But not nearly in any sort of capacity that really ruins a game for the team. I'd imagine our 8 delay of game penalties last year (one every two games) is probably relatively standard with a new offense and young QB and a head coach that usually keeps all of his timeouts. And as bad as Gase is and even for his time management faults, he usually has his timeouts.

I agree. I was watching the first drive and thought he might have a decent game against Miami but he just reinforced my view of him which is he can't throw into zone coverage and is always prrone to 1 or 2 stupid ints per game. In fairness the line is a mess but everyone in the league is hurt at this point. Listen I have been a jet fan since the Namath days and he reminds me of Richard Todd (Miami playoff game 5 ints). I just hope he can have some good remaining games so we can get a decent draft pick.

Sort of, he was injured on the sideline when they won.

Up until he got hurt though these were Wentz's numbers on the season:

    60% completion
    7.5 Y/A
    33 TD's
    7 INT's

Sam hasn't come close to that kind of production ever. I'm not sure what happened to Wentz this season.

Wentz did NOT win a super bowl, Nick Foles did. I don't know how you can even twist that?

You're right, but Sam hasn't come close to having that good of a situation around him either.

Darnold doesn't seem like that type of QB to me. Sorry.

And I'm sure there are teams around the league licking their chops when they think about a possible opportunity to trade for him.
