Did you see him play QB for Alabama? He was not a good passing QB. It’s why Tua replaced him and took his job.
Cowboys beat the Vikings. NFC East: Eagles 3-6-1, other three teams 3-7. That has to be some kind of record, right?
That's why he went to Oklahoma and learned how to throw the ball. While he's obviously still likely not anything near a great passer, today would've been a game Hurts could've dominated. A sloppy mess in the rain for a running quarterback that's as strong as any runningback in the league (hyperbole)? Wentz looks atrocious. It's really bizarre considering this guy was the MVP if he doesn't get hurt a couple years ago. And it's not the team around him and I'm kind of tired of hearing that. Yeah there's offensive line shuffling like everyone else in the league. His wide outs, while not great, have been consistently the same guys every week. And he holds on to the ball for an eternity because he's staring down receivers and looks off at the last second when he's pressured. The line wasn't that bad today. Neither were the receivers. That safety was fucking awful. So was the pick 6. Both a result of holding the ball for too long. He had Reagor wide open on the pick six. He had three receivers open on the safety. He really needs to be sat down because for whatever reason he's not seeing the field at all. And for what it's worth Pederson's playcalling was somewhat dogshit today. Their running game is telegraphed. And they gashed the Browns all the way down the field on the first drive despite the turnover and he instantly went away from it the rest of the game. Why.
Rodgers obviously made a spectacular throw to MVS but he played a terrible second half. And once again can't complete the game winning drive after having two attempts at it. And both times he didn't hang in there long enough because he's terrified of getting hit. Rodgers is a Hall of Famer and an incredible all time player. But even with those things, I think he's slightly overrated by the NFL world for those reasons.
Can you think of another example of a young QB who looked that good and then just fell apart? (RG3 doesn't count because his sample size was too small.)
Yeah he missed that 4th and 1 pass that was just as important as the fumble in OT....it's always someone else's fault when people talk about Rodgers....they have a top 5 rusher and a top 5 receiver and people still complain he has no weapons.
