We're gonna have a hard time losing to the Chargers.. They really suck. I'm watching Mia. just roll them.
Despite a two TD spread the Jaguars gave the Packers a scare before blowing the game in the fourth quarter. They may win another game yet. Wow, the NFC East is almost as bad as we are!
That’s an opinion piece with no sources . We’re getting upset about shit that hasn’t happened and probably won’t now?
Jacksonville's schedule before today included 7 out of 8 likely playoff teams AND a best-in-NFL SoS the rest of the way at about .680. Atlanta and Denver 2nd and 3rd and nowhere near Jax.....rest of the way were low-600's. If we want the #1 overall pick, we better lose out. Trying to think who might "Jets us" like we did the 'Aints in 1980. Chargers maybe....Cleveland more likely.
LOL for the record the Saints still earned the #1 pick that year. The Jets were the lone victories for 4 one win teams .. The 1968 Bills ( also finished with a tie ) The 1972 Oilers The 1980 Saints The 1991 Colts I can’t see the Jets not winning a game with Darnold coming back - this time with a healthy WR corp....the Jets are bad but not 0-16 bad. They will win one game. Probably not two. The #1 pick ( Trevor Lawrence ) is safe.....
obviously you don’t even know enough that Herbert is outplaying Burrow this year. Which means you can trade out of #1 pick and still land a great QB. Where did Mahomes get drafted? Rodgers? Rothisberger? Wilson?...oh should i keep going? Jackson? Brady? Outside of Manning and Brees two decades ago no #1 has exceeded or met expectations. You guys obviously don’t know football. don’t bring up Elway...he’s senior citizen lmfao
Don’t disagree, you can trade out and still land a great QB, But why? Kyler Murray and Arizona will take exception to this. If he is the man, you strike.
Right so not a single #1 QB in the last two decades. but i don’t have a point! whatever. Edit: Eli Manning. The guy who NY Giants fans wanted to run out of town the first 3 years of his career.
It's an ODDS thing guys !! There's no guarantee picking 1st overall and there's no law against finding a HOF QB at #7 or #18 or in the 2nd or 3rd round. But the ODDS favor Lawrence and/or Fields being impact players. There were doubts about Watson and Mahomes. Ask Dabo if he feels less, same, or more confident than Watson that Trevor will light it up. Doesn't mean he WILL...just means it's more likely.
Precisely. And odds you can control is you can draft surrounding core pieces. ask Kylar Murray and Deshaun Watson...how their odds improve with a DeAndre Hopkins...an impact player that was already in place before he got there. Yes. TLaw is legit. Do we have to draft him? No. Should we probably...I guess so. But he’s not going to suddenly carry this team without impact players like a Hopkins, Kelce/Hill, etc.. Players that Jets org have no clue how to find in a draft...so yes i want the Jets to better the odds by taking more at-bats at drafting key impact players over a shiny savior QB...
If, as you say, the Jets don't know how to find good players in the draft, why do you want them to pass on a virtual sure thing (as much as any pick can be one), and have them take more swings, as you say? Sort of contradictory logic. That said, if Douglas has ID'd a QB he really thinks could fit better than Lawrence or Fields, and he's confident that he can get him at a later pick, and gets a king's ransom to trade back, I wouldn't be upset, but I don't think it's the best approach. Of course I'm not getting paid a couple of million dollars to be a GM either. The key is that they really add a lot of talent around whoever the QB is. And the speculation about focusing on defense had better be just click bait!
Joe D is already prioritizing defense for 2021 per Cimini. You have been warned! He's going to complete his rebuild in two years with this trade. That's his plan. https://thejetpress.com/2020/11/15/ny-jets-defense-2021-nfl-draft/
New England now can't draft a Top QB even if they tank or flop. Also more likely to need the game in Week 17.
