Agree, he played a game earlier in season looked good, then never saw him again. Met him at camp last year, love the energy he plays with! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On one of those plays I saw on Sports Center, he whiffed on the sack, hit the ground, got up hustled down the field and made the tackle on the receiver. He's hustling and playing with energy. That can be contagious. If he can learn to wrap up the QB when he gets there, we may have something.
If he wasn't good enough for New England and Bill Belichick after going undrafted? What makes us think he'll be any good for our Jets? He has one of the worst PFF grades I've ever seen @ only 46.4 (here in 2020). But yes. He did have a good game today with 9 or 10 tackles but I'd hardly buy any stock into it.
He looks like he's shot out of a cannon on every play. Needs to learn some patience or he's gonna get burnt a ton. Great to have that kind of play speed, but if you don't have the instincts to back it up, it doesn't matter.
I agree but this team is in dire need of speed and hustle. He’s exactly the guy needed in the defense. Let him play with his hair on fire, we can figure out the rest. He played well today
I usually don’t root against former players. Happy for them, especially if they’ve escaped in the past decade, but not Adams. I’ll thoroughly enjoy it if he fades to a middle of the pack player.
Tough to tell what he is or where he'll fit in. But the kid played like he wants a roster spot and deserves one. He's also a good blitzer and can line up inside or on the edge it appears. Versatility is important.
In a dismal season (or 10) we can use all the bright spots we can get. Odds are he'll "sink to his true level" over time, but sometimes you find a diamond in the rough. If Belichick saw enough in him to draft him/sign him, there's likely some talent there.
It was good for him to play against his old team. Mind you he's def no spring chicken. He's 28. He's playing likely his last shot at being a contributor on a team. It would be awesome to see him stick though, he and his wife were in a bad accident 3 years ago...luckily it wasn't bad enough injury wise. But he's a great great guy by all accounts. Looking like him and Hewitt from here on out.
He reminded me a lot of a Patriots linebacker honestly. Blitzing from different spots - pressure up the middle extroadinaire and high energy. Makes sense that they drafted him.
he is 28 not a kid. Good situational player but not a player to say is going to be great or even here in 3 yrs
That's ok. We need OK football players too. We barely have enough of them. If he's going to run around like a lunatic and cause havoc for other teams he has a good place on this team.
Good effort by the man. We need more players that actually overachieve on the field and perform, demonstrating they are deserving of a spot, as opposed to some so called studs with impeccable big college credentials and/or PFF stats and or high draft picks that underachieve all to hell the moment they come here.
