    Studs

Williamson - for going to a good team after the game just like bell and mclendon

Q - was playing real great until the injury. him blowing up that screen was amazing for a man his size

Becton - another solid day for the rookie.

JFM - has been showing flashes all the time. our d-line at least is looking good with him, Q and foley for next year

Jet fans - for still supporting this POS franchise

    Duds

Gase - do I need to list a reason?

Darnold - he's getting worse every week. He looks worse then he did his rookie season. No magic anymore just bad plays and him getting beat up

Herndon - I swear this dude has fumbled on half of his receptions and has dropped more balls then he's caught. he's been awful

WR group - just trash. mims looked good in limited opportunities. outside of him though this group needs to be blown up

    Agree on all counts

Herndon bugs the shit out of me....I posted on this on another thread too but I swear if you combine his drops and fumbles they exceed his catches. He has been one of the worst players on the team and I don’t understand why he’s this bad. He can’t catch SHIT and he fumbles half the balls he catches. He needs to be benched or cut.

We ran a master class on how to ruin a young QB. Horrible team building with no pass protection, running game, or big play receivers. Horrible play calling that fools nobody while continually dialing up screens on 3rd and long. And receivers and TEs who do the opposite of helping their QB. The moment Gase got here Sam was toast. Throw him on the scrap heap next to Mark and Geno.

EDIT - and a GM who was clearly tanking the season from week 1. Anyone who doesn't agree should ask themselves why we had the money to bring in another impact player and instead sat on it.

The kicker was a stud. Not so sure I want to see that guy go when Fickens is healthy again.

Studs: Castillo. We are now set at kicker and punter (woo).

Duds: Guards and center positions again. WRs are trash.

Question: Anyone know why I always see Henry Anderson on camera but I never hear his name called by the announcer?

If an Anderson plays but doesn’t make a sound, does he exist?

List Bless Austin as one of the big duds. It looks like man-to-man is not his forte.

I mentioned Hernon's lost season when he got that DWI after one of shitty drops. His response: "Maybe the dude can't play sober". LOL. The Old man may be right.....

He maybe the best corner on the team LOL...his cover skills aren't the greatest but he does stick his head in there on run plays which I appreciate.

I agree that JD was tanking from week 1,which tells me one thing; He knows Sam is not the answer.

    Agree on everything.

My uncle and I were watching the game and we kept noticing Darnold's 2 step drop back. He would take a snap under center and step back 2 steps. We were baffled on why he continued to do this if the pass rush was in his face constantly.

The offensive line is not very good, we all know that, but his lack of ability to make adjustments is mind blowing. Take more snaps from shotgun. Take bigger drop backs to give yourself more space.

I have no fuckin clue what he is doing anymore

you do what the play tells you to. a 2 step drop your supposed to fire right away. clearly the main target was never open.
sam played like shit but lets not pretend it's all his fault and swapping him out magically fixed the team

But that's my problem. Sam has never been able to find a second third or fourth receiver. If his first read is taken away, he's dead in the water. That's been a concern since his rookie year

it clear that Sam needs a change and it would be smart to sit him and play the old dude... at least his value may go up. Its a dam shame...sigh.

If JD had already given up on Sam before the season started then its a scary sign that he doesn't know what he is doing. The only thing he has done a good job of is inflating our drafts by dismantling the team while putting Sam in a no win QB hell situation.

I don't believe that. A lot of young players that looked promising regressed this season. Even the coaching staff got worse; worse than horrible. The tight ends, Austin, Darnold. If they had improved, the Jets could have been competitive. Also, the offensive line is decent, especially with Becton. Once the Jets fell apart, then the tank made sense. On the other hand, I don't think JD planned for major improvements this season.

I agree. A franchise QB should be able to look at his #1 WR, and if he's covered, move to his 2nd read, and if necessary move to his 3rd read, and if that dudes covered move on to his 4th read, and get the ball out with accuracy all in less than 1.2 seconds.

  20. Whats worse?

CJ & Macc being presented w Gase’s offensive scheme/philosophy & thinking its a fit for Sam?

    OR

Gase so desperate to avoid being out of work that he convinced himself & sold the Jets on Sam somehow being a fit for a rigid quick read timing based controlled passing attack?
