I mean you couldn’t possibly be any more wrong. He’s not even allowed to do half of what he did college.
Stop, just stop. Im not going back and forth with you but it you watch any film and understand this game, you wouldn't be arguing. Hes just not ready to be a qb in this league. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
There’s no point. People will never blame Sam for anything. If these same people actually compare other QBs to Sam and as an example, Josh Allen today, there were times when Josh Allen read the defense at the line, saw the Cb and LB blitz, adjusted and got the ball out quick. Sam doesn’t do that well and will take sacks or move up into the pocket and sack himself. Buffalo knows Sams weakness and they blitzed him the entire second half. Teams will do this all year until Sam shows he can overcome and learn to hit his hot reads.
There's some truth to what you say, he does hold onto the ball too long, but the OL isn't giving him enough time most of the time. Compare the time Allen had to Darnold...not even close. That's not to excuse Darnold's role in all that entirely, but it's more than just him. I don't know if he's ruined beyond salvage, but I do think he's playing scared behind the OL and with the play calling. I think this is why he doesn't go through his progressions and instead locks onto a receiver - he doesn't trust the line to protect him long enough to go through all the reads. Just my amateur opinion. I've seen enough to say if they can upgrade at QB they need to.
good QBs also have players that get seperation and also coaches that have schemes that anticipate the blitz
Again why are you making every excuse for he was awful in the second half. He should be able to read defenses and adjust his receivers at this point and he simply isnt capable. You can make whatever excuse you want but even if they surrounded him with talent, hed still struggle Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
Even PFF is calling Sam out for his poor play. These numbers they posted in this article about him are telling. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2020-week-7-pff-refocused-buffalo-bills-18-new-york-jets-10
I would like to see him play with SOME talent and then we would know - its like you want him to be a bust
Not allowing any excuses for a guy that has plenty of viable excuses doesn’t seem conducive to logical discussion.
Smh dont try and sound logical when youre not even holding him accountable for his awful play. Which has been most of the year Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
What frustrates me the most is the broadcast. On all of these sacks can I get a replay of the receivers downfield? Is Sam missing receivers or is there nowhere to go with the ball? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Fans who did NOT watch the game: Sam's stats are terrible...he has to go!!! Fans who WATCHED the game: Holy fuck our oline is really REALY bad.
Hes not seeing the field, its just that plain and simple. Hes been struggling. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
I had better things to do today than subject myself to this game, but wait we really let Flounder call plays? And we only gained 4 yards when he was calling plays? Omg that's the funniest thing all season.
Watched the game and Sam sucks, stop blaming the oline. He would struggle regardless of talent. Hes indecisive and inaccurate. I dont feel bad for him at all. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
