They blitzed and adjusted. We did neither.

We overachieved in the first half. The real team showed up in the second half

Half time adjustments.....something our last two coaches weren't capable of doing.

What happened is Buffalo stopped playing like ass and managed to do the bare minimum in the 2nd half to subdue an inferior opponent which obviously lacks the coaching, talent, ability and discipline to play a solid 60 minutes of football.

    Reality set in.

    Mims looked pretty good.

I hate to say it but I was relieved to see it was Perriman who got his clock cleaned on that clean hit late in the game.

For a couple of seconds there I was thinking the Jets are cursed, his first NFL game and he's already getting concussed.

What changed in the 2nd half? Not the Jets play calling.

Gase believes that his plays are so good, no one could stop them...as long as his players execute them properly, so there is no need to plan for making adjustments.

No they adjusted and we as usual, didn't. That is a hallmark of AG lead teams and that is why this team is doomed until they fire his ass.

It’s simple, the Jets went back to a 4 and 5 receiver formation with Sam in shotgun.

The oline can’t handle the pass rush but Patton Oswalt went away from what worked.

Sam under center with a 3 receiver formation and allowing oline to blow the dline off the ball for a successful running game and play action pass that worked well in first half, why they completely went away from it I have no clue.

Gase probably talked to him at halftime. Told him everything he was doing wrong in the first half and made adjustments.

Gase and his thick head, not making adjustments was part of it.

But, it was one of the most abominable performances by a Jet OL I've ever seen. Even with Becton. No matter what play , they couldn't block for Sam or the RB's. And McGovern, I'm not sure about this dude man. He must need some glasses He was a human turnstile. One play in the 4th, he completely let his man thru without even touching him. It was as if he purposely wanted Sam to get sacked. That 4th and 1 run and not even a yard.

I think Bills realized Jets were pounding the ball between the tackles pretty good. 2nd half Bills began to stack the box to stuff the run, and they ran several run blitzes (which turned into pass blitzes when the Jets decided to pass on 1st downs).

The 2nd half non-stop Bills blitzes took all the deep pass patterns off the table. Sam needs more than 1 second (or less) to throw a deep ball. This is the time Crowder shines, running his crossing routes just behind the LBers and in front of the safety. But w/o Crowder, and with the deep ball off the table, and the stacked box taking the run off the table, there was really nothing, I mean nothing, the Jets could do consistently to move the ball down field.

Like I said in an earlier thread, if Crowder was playing, he would have made the Bills pay the price for stacking/bliltzing the LOS. And Jets most likely win that game.
