Agreed this is around the time the Jets started putting together a string of wins last season ...Mekhi (house of pancakes) Becton should be back , Our projected starting WRs are playing...Sam played well last season after time off ...he maybe looking to prove his worth ,bill’s have not looked good the last two weeks... we could be wrong but this has trap game all over it
This franchise is horrible. Although collective bargaining, limits to OTAs, not starting practices until August have had the effect in past years to field Jets teams that don’t get their collective shit together until 3 or 4 games into the season, this year with no preseason games, Covid lockdowns etc. has yielded yet another Jets team that now won’t get its shit together until 7 or 8 games into the season. The teams with winning records don’t seem to start the season in as poor physical shape or lack of cohesiveness That the Jets do. It seems that the future of the Jets is really bleak unless JD can turn it around.
I think the Jets are going 0-16 this season, but if they go 1-15 I hope this is the one. It would be so delicious to look as awful as we have the first 6 weeks and then come out and hand Buffalo a 3rd straight loss after their fans and hype train had gotten out of control. Would completely tank their public perception.
I am pretty confident the Jets will compete to the end in this game and may win. I felt that going into the first Bills game, Colts game, and Broncos game too though. Depends how nice the 7 yard catch is!
Well he better show some burst or else there are gone be Perine-esque threads saying he’s shown nothing and he isn’t the future.
Just looking at the injury report I hope Sam has his running legs on him, that OL looks worryingly knackered. I doubt Gase has devised a game plan based on the number of QB pressures he will face. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
Did you realize that in the games Darnold has missed in the last three years the Jets are 0 - 8 with just two touchdown passes and were outscored by 154 points? https://www.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/jets-lawrence-darnold-1.50046029 Gase must go before anyone can even see what this team is capable of.
Good news: WR Denzel Mims has been activated. He surely will play. bad news: Crowder is doubtful. He’s out. Likely means Berrios in the slot. But Sam won’t have his best target tomorrow.
The only one who won’t play Alex Lewis and he’s a backup at best anyway. Becton will be back so the line should be okay tomorrow.
Jets don't cover the spread too well. We are pretty bad. Really bad. 1996 stink type bad. Spread is only @ Buffalo -10? I think Buffalo wins by no less than 24. 37-13 Bills. Jets 0-7 and before you know it 0-8 after Bell rips GASE a new one.
While Buffalo manhandles our Jets I hope teams such as the 1-5 Falcons can beat Detroit Lions, 1-4-1 Bengals can beat the Browns, 1-5 Washington can beat the depleted Cowboys and we're in a Win/Win situation as both the 1-4 Chargers play the 1-5 Jaguars. We're in the driver's seat for Trevor and the #1 pick but still not IN THE CLEAR (just yet) imo
The question is will Darnold locate Sims when he heaves it?? Rusty Sam good for at least one turnover tomorrow
Sad to say , for all the tank for Trevor fans, Jets could win this one - I think Sam may have a big game. If they're winning by 3 going into the 4th, take him out!!
