Serious question. Why would anyone watch this team at this point? There is absolutely NO redeeming value! Even just wanting to see how rookies do, or Darnold plays, or maybe on the off chance they put it together and win (or at least make a game of it), none of these things are reason enough to watch this dreck! If you have a compelling argument that supports the watching the Jets at this point, please enlighten us. For those of you who agree that this team is unwatchable, I urge you to do the right thing - don't watch. Maybe the zero ratings will have an impact on the Brothers Ignorant.
To be honest I watch for the humor and to get a good laugh. 30 years ago I would get pissed, and break remote controls but those days are long past.
I just watch them to laugh at the ineptitude at this point. I've long given up on this being a productive franchise or myself actually getting anything worthwhile out of watching them. It doesn't matter what they do moving forward, it's not going to work. Douglas could hire the greatest coach he can find, and draft Trevor Lawrence, but it won't work. The aura of ineptitude that surrounds this organization manages to turn otherwise intelligent, competent people into failures the moment they step through the doors of the team facility.
I'm not watching. I'll tune in and out bc I'll never be able to ignore completely but watching a whole game beginning to end? I don't hate myself that much
The NFL is a government controlled monopoly which shares revenue. For a boycott to work, all fans of all teams must stop watching. Otherwise, owners like the Johnsons will continue to mock and thumb their noses at the fanbase, because this is how these affluent pricks get their kicks. It's a ritual for them.
I'm not naive enough to think that not watching them will cost them any money, but miniscule ratings might at least embarrass them.
I watched a few minutes of the game for laughs and posted a bit on the game thread for laughs. Laughs are all this team is good for.
I stopped watching soon after Miami went up 24-0. I'm no longer emotionally invested during games at this point. I know the team stinks and I expect to see them take a beatdown every week. They might not lose a game by less than 10 points all year this team JD has put together could be the worst of the worst of the worst. I'm beginning to loathe JD for what he's done to my football team and I hope he gets fired along with coach Gase.
I bet money against them so just watching to make sure that the other team covers the spread. Gase is still great money in that sense.
Because I know they are worse than the Kotite jets (I can't believe I wrote that, but it is true), but I am watching to speculate if the 2020 jets can be worse than McKay's Buccaneers in their inaugural year? The Bucs were SO bad their first year that when Coach McKay was asked "What do you think of your team's execution?" McKay quipped "I'm all for it!" Guys, we are all living thru a part of history--ARE we watching the worst football team of all time, coached by the worst coach of all time, put together largely by the worst ex-GM of all time (Mac), and owned by the two biggest morons of all time (the Johson brothers)???? I'm never disappointed--I expect the jets to lose by double digits now. Added bonus--in my fantasy football leagues, I always try to pick up the defense/special team facing the jets that week (if available), and I clean up.
I have the game on in the background but only pay attention when it sounds like something interesting happens.
