    I still don't understand why did we hired him in the first place. Just end the pain already! What would be the worst case to get a new coach at this point?

    Look, the only opinion that matters is Chris Johnson's who thinks Gase is a genius. The only thing not forcing CJ's hand is that there's nobody in the stands booing the shit out of this team. Still in all, there's nothing to sell about the Jets now and if CJ isn't completely braindead OR afraid to admit he fucked up with the Gase hire, he has to fire Gase at the end of the season. Best guess is that he's hoping for another good run in the second half.

    If Chris Johnson brings Gase back next year, he can kiss his fanbase goodbye.

    Why we should keep Gase. Let Johnson watch this demise and painfully. He s not going to return him if the Jets go 1-15 or 2-14.

    Worst coach in the NFL hands down. Every week he stays in control is a wasted week. I can’t invest in Jets football until he’s gone.

    But do you think the next eleven games could be productive by finding out what you have in Darnold? That question will never be answered as long as Gase is in charge.

    I don't think he cares. He probably figures that if he doesn't have a fanbase, he can petition the league to let him break the lease at Metlife and relocate the Jets to a city that just wants any team to play there.

    But I'm thinking that Gase might return next year even if we go 0-16. They'll use the Browns as a model that just because your coach goes winless doesn't mean you need to fire him and that Gase just needs more time and talent.

    It may be too late. Fans here already looking forward to making Trevor Lawrence as the #1 pick so it s meaningless if Darnold prosper under a different coach either this year or next year.
