The Johnson brothers should be banned from the NFL. Here's my take, keeping Gase till the end of the year is a mistake because we will never know what Sam is with this play calling and scheme. Firing Gase and going with one of the assistants I think would give us a better idea whether Sam has it or doesn't. This is needed because the Jets will need to determine before the draft what direction we need to go.

Why follow the lead of another dysfunctional organization?

Because they're less dysfunctional than we are?

Yes he was terrible....yet another failed Belichick tree HC...they all suck

funny thing is they are going to twice failed Romeo Crennel as the interim guy...so yeah, there’s that...

this is another data point on why I want NO part of Josh McDaniels....all these losers suck when they leave Belichick

IDK... OBrien traded their best player for a washed up RB. Big Mac signed a washed up Bell but didn't give up any players just Woody's cash.. Neither was a good move but at least they didn't trade away talent and to top it off they hurt Woody in the best place, his pocketbook. ; )

I think the Andy Reid coaching tree has produced more successful HC's than Belichek's. Could someone verify this?

I think just about ANY other coaching tree has produced more, because Belichick has produced exactly ZERO good HCs

    not a one

    zippo

    nada

    zilch

    Not one

I can’t stomach how some people actually suggested McDaniels...he’s already failed and he punked Indy at the eleventh hour...how about a big Go Fuck Yourself to him! I think that is the one hire that would make me drop this team after 40 years of mostly pain

  8. I voted no win by bye week.Hes gone either way but that just seems like a good compromise where team wont look like they pulled the plug too soon & we still get a head start on finding a replacement

Yeah but he has played under him, and Nick Saban is probably the greatest college coach of all time and he is under the Belichick tree.

If O'Brien was the Jets head coach and if the Jets had a player like Hopkins and he was traded and got the haul they got I think this board would have been on fire. Trading Jamal was bad. That situation got bad. We lost it. He was a safety. God we haven't had a wr since Maynard. My god. If we had a great wr and we traded him for nothing. We'd lose it. O Brien is bad. I think he is a good offensive mind. Something went wrong there. To me power. Something and because of that he scares me but I do think he could be a good offensive coordinator. I'd be interested for the Jets but scared off by that personality.

I never realized this but Eric Mangini is from the Belichik tree not the Parcells tree. His first NFL job was with the Browns in Belichik's last season there.

so my comment still stands...Vrabel played for Belichick but also for other teams as welll....he didn’t coach under him

yes Saban is an all time great college coach but also failed badly in Miami...so again, none of Belichick coaches have had success in the NFL...

O’Brien had some good years in Houston but I think most of those were on the back of being in a really terrible division...and they were pretty much one and done in the playoffs...plus the Hopkins trade has to go down as one of the stupidest trades in history. Fail.

If you are him, is there really anything to think about between the Texans or Jets?

The 2020 Johnson should be awarded to the Johnson's right now.

Right now the only guy that I have faith in is JD, if he weren't here I would be petrified Dumb and Dumber would fire Gase and hire O'Brien as GM/HC...

Saban is really from Parcells tree. He and Belichick were peers with Giants correct? I know Saban followed him to Cleveland though.....

..because of the onslaught of non-sense that keeps happening with this team.

I'm not even confident in, JD. I can't. It's the same Ole' Jets. Over and Over.

I want to, but, I have zero reason to believe JD will get It right either.
