Two things...

Either this structure is royally fucked and Gase has the ability to tell CJ who he wants and CJ dictates to Douglas... or Douglas is a fucking idiot that listens to Adam Gase and signs bad players. I sure hope it's the former.

 

Ballage was a decent risk because of the speed factor.

But hes not a 3rd down back.

And id rather run ballage then Gore who at most should get 5-7 carries a game and not the 20 or so hes been getting.

 

Or... just run Perine who you drafted to be your successor to Bell. Christ even Adams is a more logical choice. But that's Adam Gase for you.

 

Why is this on JD?

Our backfield consisted of Le'Veon Bell, who is now injured and frankly has looked like dogshit. Frank Gore who is 40 years old. And La'Mical Perine, who is a rookie.

He signed a guy who was as cheap as dirt who had experience in Adam Gase's offense. We can all agree that it is a piss poor offense and Ballage hasn't exactly done shit in his career, but it was a logical move to make to add depth to a depleted skill position.

Now why Gase continued to play him over Perine is another story and entirely on Gase.

 

When is Bell coming back?
Could that be why?

 

This was a bad day to buy a Ken Ballage jersey.

 

It's a good thing that trade we worked out for Ballage fell through.

 

Perine was just coming back from injury and he missed a bit of camp. I think thats why.

Gase is probably the one who wanted Ballage. Calling JD inept is absurd.

 

Seriously? The GM is supposed to work with the HC. It's very common for GMs to sign or trade low round picks for players who have experience in the HCs system, especially when there have been injuries.

Thanks, guys, for bringing some sanity to this thread, but I fear it's wasted on some of our posters. They are like sharks smelling blood in the water and going into a feeding frenzy. They're ready to jettison everyone and their emotions are running amok. They've abandoned rationality. Sad.

 

Indeed. JD unfortunately tries to work and help Gase with players that had experience with Gase’s system, unfortunately his system sucks, for Bell, for Perine for anyone. We need to fix the real problem.
