Not many folks will bash their boss to media! Unless you want out, I.e. Adams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With QBs, yes not very much. Sam painted himself into a corner with that remark though. I pay more attention to a player like Adams, who holds nothing back and says something about the coach.....it's not rocket science to figure out where the problem is. The one fault have with Darnold is that he has only one time spoke up, and that was last year about the play calling. He needs to step up and be more vocal. The BS about him only doing audibles on certain plays is a travesty. Edit: Don't care what they say about the SOJ, but give me Rex Ryan back - he had heart, emotion, and guts and he loved the org. Say what you want but he took the Jets to two AFC championship games.
Gase is wasting Darnold's talent. I'm beginning to fear he's already wasted it. I still have faith in Darnold, but I'm not sure he's good enough (or anyone's good enough) to overcome the Gase drag factor.
In 33 years old and this isn't saying entirely too much but the Rex era was the most entertaining and enjoyable era for me as a Jets fan and I'll never forget the B2B AFC championship games Rex took us to. Don't tell me either that it wasn't Rex, if you believe (as do I) that this mess now ultimately falls on Gases failures, then ultimately those games fall upon Rexs successes.
Outside of the Jets garbage time stats, they have one of the worst offensive and defensive efficiencies. OFFENSIVE GENIUS!
And the bury the game ball! Lol. Can you imagine Gase trying that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don’t know that one single person has ever killed my passion for an entire team that I’ve been a fan of him for early 90s quite like Adam Gase has. The closest I can think of is Isiah Thomas with the Knicks but this far exceeds my level of disgust with him. Right when we hired him it felt like a gut punch but I thought maybe Darnold is just good enough to overcome how terrible Gase is. Now here we here and we realize that he needed to be coached up. Not only was he not cooked up, he got worse. One person completely railroaded the development of the most talented quarterback we had in our franchise’s history. We are most likely going to be back at square 1 waiting to see how we fuck it all up again.
Gase would never do this, but I'd love to see the Jets use this fake FG play. It might be the only way they score a TD before garbage time.
They are far and away the worst team in the NFL, it really isn't close. There is not one head coach in the league I would take Gase over. This franchise went from having a ridiculous amount of hope to having NONE, all because Christopher Johnson hired Adam FUCKING Gase. I keep saying I'm tired of ranting about this guy, but every time I start talking about it, my blood boils. How in the world did they EVER think ADAM GASE was a good hire? His Jets team doesn't even look like they're playing the same sport as everyone else, but to our moron of an owner he's a "brilliant" offensive mind.
2 words Adam Gase I haven't seen an NFL coach this bad with no redeeming qualities since mike tice. even bowles and rex and herm were much better then gase.
My only hope is CJ lets JD run the show, fire gase and get his own HC and OC. I'd still like to keep williams though. it's not his fault we have no talent in the back 7 right now really. and the D should be much better next year with mosley back and cashman/hewitt healthy and austin in year 3 and maybe adding a real edge rusher and a CB
Well, to be fair, Mike Tice: 1. Won a playoff game 2. Played in the NFL 3. Wasn't a stubborn prick to the media 4. The pencil behind the ear much less annoying than Gase hat covering his eyes.
Mike tice was so bad and so dumb though. he always looked lsot and confused. at least gase pretends he's not a complete moron. tice was the homer simpson of the NFL
I guess. But in my opinion, Gase acting like he's smarter than everyone else is a much worse look than any Homer Simpson.
