I remember 3 years ago on opening day, Sam's debut, when the Jets crushed Detroit and he looked all-world. So I say there's something positive inside that body and what we saw on Monday is a great disconnect from what we saw 3 years ago. Football is the ultimate team game and you can't have a defense allow three quick unanswered TD's and expect the offense, especially this offense with no game breakers, to come back. The Jets of all teams should have known that Allen is capable of running the ball. The usual defense for a scrambling QB is to contain him and make him throw from the pocket. We didn't see that on Sunday. We saw defenders shooting right by him allowing him to escape from the pocket way too easily. Williams should have had a better game plan. They failed to contain Allen and when you get down by that many points, the offense has no choice but to throw the ball. That's when the opposing defense can lay back and t-off on the passing game, and that's what we saw on Sunday. Unless you're an elite QB, it's very difficult to come back from those kinds of deficits, especially on the road.

Everything you say is valid, and there's also this ...
The players on the Bills defense are very good, and the players on the Jets offense aren't.

I had forgotten that Hunter was there during that time. Wasn't Hunter good his first year? Was that in 2008 before Sanchez?

If it is "Jets" then we are indeed cursed, and might as well all forget about this team.

Damien Woody was the RT when Sanchez started. Hunter was considered a good swing tackle or 6th O-lineman. When Woody Retired and WFH took over, all was made clear.

Note, however, that Sanchez not being able to throw the ball in front of a crossing receiver to save his life was a problem that existed no matter who lined up at RT. So his failure can't fully be placed on anyone else's shoulders.

some of the fault was due to mistakes on his part,

but most of it has to do with who is calling plays, game planning.

fire gase and the oc, promote jb cooter to oc.

have williams serve as interim hc or call mike westoff to see if he wants to try the interim hc job.

hell, at this point, mangini or rex would be an improvement.
