So overall I think we win 6-7 games. That being said this what I'm looking for this year. 1. Darnold: Continue to improve. Be healthy a whole year. Begin the building block where next year we say we'll be in every game because of him. When healthy our skill group is average. I want to see him bring them to above average. 2. Perriman: Be a consistent receiver. Build off the last five games from last year. Be a 1b option. Not sure that can happen but hopefully. 3. Mims: Become that red zone target. Improve each week. Be consistent. 4. Becton: Learn and grow. You know he'll make mistakes. Learn from them. End of the year we say we have out next Brick. Decade long starter at LT. 5. Rest of oline: Be consistent. Grow as a unit. Be an average line. They do that Darnold and the rest of the team will improve. 6. Bell: Skills are there. Is the cast around him let him get there. Head coach. Oline etc. Use him as a wr. Be creative. We need it. 7. Defense. Overachieved last year. Just play as a unit. Overcome the loss of Adams. I think they'll look similar to last year. Definitely miss Jamal but improve in other areas. I think they're two biggest problems. Consistency and depth. Certain breaks this team can surprise. Time will tell. Games I look at that we match up better or travel issues: week 1 Buffalo. They're better coached etc but I think we can steal it. Week 2 San Fran: Long first travel for them. Maybe can steal one Indy: Always play them and Rivers well. We'll see. Tough: Seattle LA back to back. Two weeks on the west coast. Long travel. KC in KC. KC will give us trouble that whole day. Time will tell. Looking forward to Sunday.
JMHO which is what this board for to give your humble opinion which I did. Oh yes in case u r interested we will finish 4th in the AFCE
It's 2020. I'll be happy if the NFL plays more than 1/2 of the games scheduled for this season. It would be nice if the Jets win some of those.
In case any one is interested IMHO the NYJs erred big time cause when Cam became available if they could they should have traded Sam for a #1 n signed Cam who is only 30 I think. This is the reason we have been losers for over 50 years now we do not think ahead
Well with Gase as the HC I think 3 would sound OK but most unsatisfactory as it will only lead to another losing season
I'm guessing Le'Veon Bell handed you over some of that good stuff that he smokes? Can you at least share?
JFYI Iam not stupid enough to use mind bending drugs N do me a favor return this thread to me at seasons end tks
No more politics and no more "social justice" in the NFL. BTW, I also didn't like the breast cancer uniforms and I don't like having cheerleaders. I watch football for....the football.
I'm just joking with you man, take it easy. I'm always around. I just don't post often. I just don't see how you think Cam Newton will bring the Jets to the promise land, especially with the talent we have on the team. I'm already expecting a sub-par season, so I'm not too worried about it. You seem to dislike how the organization drafts and is built. I understand this organization doesn't really have a winning culture as shown in it's history, but yet you think trading Darnold for a draft pick will still change things? I bet if we did draft Sam, you would still be disappointed with how the draft went down. What do you see in Cam Newton right now over Sam Darnold? Especially when Sam is not the problem with the team.
No need to be negative yet. Hey, the time to enjoy being tied for first place is right now. Soak it up
yep MHO is SAM is NOT a promised winning QB His flaw is his brain does not react as fast as his feet. If we did not have strong players then point the finger at the idiot brothers & Gase Cam has quick feet he is somewhat inaccurate but if the management sees what I see then why not trade Sam for #1
Please elaborate on what you see in Cam Newton. Even if he does return to 2015 form, he will not be able to carry this team with his poor leadership. A guy who failed to dive on a fumble in the most important game of his life, which cost the team a super bowl. If he shows maturity with New England, then I will give Kudos to Belichick for that. If Cam was here, he'd still carry himself the same way here as he did in Carolina.
if U r the GM U have to look ahead Trading Sam will get us a #1 then U take the 2#1s &for the #1 overall if somebody even wants Sam
