God, what a pathetic display. Chance after chance and they pass instead of shoot, and then give up ridiculous chances with 10 seconds left and ultimately the goal to lose.

My thoughts exactly. Sure would be nice to have someone who actually wants to take a shot.

 

Four in a row would hardly be a surprise at this point.

 

Eh, we’ve never beaten them in a series that was tied 1-1; may as well see if things are different when it’s 0-2.

 

When they refused to shoot on the 5-on-3 I expected that it was over. Then they actually had more chances and STILL refused to shoot. The way my daughter put it as we were texting back and forth was "I'm half convinced that Trotz gives out cool stickers to anyone that gets an assist but goal scorers have to clean the locker room."

 

That was definitely maddening. Not getting a shot on the 3 on 2 break was the icing on the cake.

 

Having been completely invested in the 2014 Kings I can say with confidence that 0-2 doesn’t phase me. This team is good enough.

 

Didn't Quick stand on his head in that series?

 

2012 was Quick’s run — arguably the greatest goalie run in the playoffs in history.

2014 was coming back from 0-3 against the Sharks and 3-1 against the Ducks, and trailing by 2 in game 7 against the Blackhawks.

 

At the risk of being too bitter, I knew that bullshit icing call would come back to haunt us.

 

2012 was the Rangers series?

 

That was 2014. 2012 was the Devils.

 

It’s not over , we can grind them down over the course of the series. Obviously have to win the next game. The passing is maddening , I can’t understand it , it’s really baffling that Trotz doesn’t do something about it, it’s nothing new and it’s killing us now. But, This team has been too much fun to watch this summer, I believe they claw their way back and David beats Goliath in 7.

 

The lack of a good PP killed them again and realistically probably ended their season. TB is a better team so winning 4 of 5 will be very difficult. When they didn't score on the major I knew they were in trouble. When they didn't score on the 5 on 3 that is where they lost the game. At that point I knew they weren't going to win. They played tough though and we will see what happens Friday. Maybe they get a win and make it interesting but whatever happens this has been a fun playoffs to watch.

I am still in shock how the game ended.
Had the remote in hand ready to turn off because I get up early and the way OT has been these playoffs it is likely going late. Just brutal,

 

Probably win Friday just to prolong the agony.

 

Please win tonight. I don't want to see another sweep again (Carolina last year.) Plus if they win it makes it 2-1 and game 4 becomes interesting although I will be watching football over hockey on Sunday.
