I don't think they guy has really had a fair shot at the NFL but I can't see a team giving up anything of value for him.
It really blows my mind. There's a lot floating around him not loving the game, not being very motivated to work hard, etc. I thought his tape was the best of him, Darnold, Lamar Jackson, Mayfield and Allen in college. His receivers dropped a lot of good balls and he had little help and still played well. Shows how much I know sometimes.
Dolphins are releasing him! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...er-failing-to-find-suitable-trade-per-report/
Turned down several offers with teams active rosters to sign with Tampa on practice squad. Claims since his money is guaranteed, Tampa was best fit.
I have no trouble admitting that I thought it was a tossup between Darnold and Rosen as to who was the best QB prospect that year. Mayfield and Allen have been pretty much what I expected, Darnold is still an incomplete. Jackson has been far better than I thought he would be, but I still reserve the right to end up being right that he's going to get seriously hurt far more often than the other QBs. Rosen is the biggest shock to me, and not because I thought he was a future Hall of Famer. The knock on him was that he might not want it enough to put in the work to become a great QB. I don't recall too many people thinking that he would just suck from day one.
Probably not a bad idea, sit and learn from Brady with an Offensive minded team run by Bruce Arians - he could do far worse!
I wanted Baker Mayfield. Rosen might have been my 2nd choice for a while, but I don't remember. I remember I got turned off by Sam at one point and didn't think he'd be very good, but can't remember if I ever changed my mind back and he became my second choice. I think I did however. I know that I didn't want Allen or Jackson at all, and I think by the time the draft rolled around and Baker was gone, that Sam had become my second choice, with Rosen the third choice. I was wrong about Jackson. 101 was sure right about him (Jackson).
So, so many years ago....what'd someone slip you a date rape drug? . What vaccinating horesehit hahaha ... .
I thought he was the best prospect out of all 5 and I wanted the Jets to take him. He also had the shittiest supporting cast. It felt like any time he threw a pick it was a perfect pass in the chest that was bobbled and tipped into defenders hands. His career was setup for failure when his rookie head coach decided his first game action should be in a game winning drive scenario against the leagues best defense. But he'll get another shot.
What exactly happened with this guy. I really thought he had what it takes to be at the very least an average NFL QB. He dropped on draft day...teams were concerned about something. Now he's washed out of his 2nd franchise. What exactly is he not getting? Where is he falling short Not working hard enough? Standoffish? Clashing with coaching staffs? NFL too tough for him? (people did insinuate he was a bit of a spoiled rich kid type) but he had college games where he showed plenty of guts
I think it's a collection of your bottom paragraph and maybe a little bit of everything + lack of passion for the game. It's bizarre to me because he got tossed around in college with his skill guys letting him down every other drive. I was more worried about his narrow frame not withstanding the beating than him being a flame out who couldn't find a team.
Rosen s a tough guy with some decent skills. I still think he can have a decent career in the right place.
