I picked him up in fantasy in 2018 and he flashed a game or two. Then he was supposed to be in fight for starting job in 2019 but all the press was he sucked etc. Not sure how he got such a bad rep suddenly.

We're up in arms b.c for yet another yr this team is content to be non competitive at multiple impactful positions DESPITE having a war chest of trade ammunition & significant cap Space. Instead, they choose to spend time & resources fixating on bottom of the roster re-treads who bringi nothing more but knowing Gase's system at positions that seem pretty well set. Widen THE scope just a tad....are you happy w. the trash this team is fielding at edge & WR? What about over the last 10 years? Whatever your answer is...the FO sure as hell seems content. And has for about 10 yrs spanning 4 stinking GMs!!!! The real issue on the team is 4th string RBs who had acouple big plays under the HC 3 seasons ago.

Considering Joe Douglas controls the personnel decisions, I'm not really sure what Adam Gase's stupidity has to do with it. Bell is gone at the end of the year anyway. Not sure why getting a pick in return for him would be terrible if the runningback position stays shored up. I'd take a second rounder alllllll day for an EOY cut.
What about the notion that Gase simply cant coexist w star players? Frankly how about the Jets entire organization? That’s all fine & dandy and I mean I am in agreement for the most part but for one thing JD should not pay for the sins of his predecessors. He has had one offseason and it’s been pretty widely seen as a solid start to this rebuild. He needs more than one offseason to build this team and if WR is not a priority next offseason I’ll be right there with you screaming. Another is this move in no way precludes JD from improving the WR position if the opportunity arises which is the main reason it amazes me hen Jets fans freak out over moves like this. This isn’t the time of the season where your building the core of the team, it’s a time to fiddle with the bottom of the roster and hope you catch lightning in a bottle. I’d be very surprised if the Jets don’t have at least one if not two WRs on the final 53 that are t on roster yet.
