His coverage was horrendous and filled with non-stop bullshit. His tactics. The way he acts. Everything is terrible and unprofessional. The biggest problem was he was treated like a legitimate reporter and his stories were taken seriously by many. This should end that.Truly wonderful news. And serves him right.
Bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy Thats me joyously hoping to see the end of his click bait "news". Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
Manish seems like the kind of guy who will show up to Jets practice tomorrow with a fake mustache and a fake ID and try to get in.
I stopped readng the NYDN Jets coverage because of him. I can't imagine there being a worst beat reporter than him he was negative, divisive he was just horrible. I may or may not start reading their coverage again.
Someone please remind me about all this.....i kinda remember it happening, but then it went away..... Manish made a burner account (was this Twitter?)pretending to be Gase's son? Isnt his son like 12? And said burner account was trying to defend Gase (though again, this was Manish)? What was the point? Jesus....im confused
You have much of it right. Last season, it was noticed that a Twitter account, Wyatt, was relentlessly defending Gase against any and all critics. Manish wrote an article claiming it was a Gase burner account, being named after Gase's son. At some point, the account posted a link to a Manish article, complete with teaser, photo, etc, leading many to believe that Manish outed himself as the real person behind the account, accidentally posting his article while logged in. That post and the account were deleted almost immediately after, and that was the end of it. Worth noting, pretty sure Manish never denied being behind it, but it would be a convenient way to frame him. Seems to be no confirmation yet on why Manish's credentials were revoked, but WFAN this morning specifically said it was the NFL that did it, so not necessarily the Jets. If he was proven to be Wyatt, I'd say that's reason enough.
Thanks @Aero I still don't quite see Manish's end game though. So he spent time/energy defending Gase under a made up account, but wanted his readers to think it was actually Gase under his sons name...... What a clever ruse!!!!! Again....WHAT THE FUCK FOR?! Did he just want to embarrass Gase ?
Mehta can write the same bullshit stories from his living room without being in the building ....it really just benefits players and coaches who don't have to look at his face.
When Mehta develops a vendetta against someone, he essentially turns to character assassination tactics. He seems to find some kind of joy in damaging the careers of coaches, GM’s, or players. I do strongly believe that he does it out of spite to those who do not feed him scoops, or give them to other reporters. I don’t know if he was behind the burner account, but I thoroughly believe he is capable of something along those lines. Turns out that Jets tweet was in response to an Adam Schefter tweet I think, so just coincidental. Or maybe it did have more meaning.
Since yesterday's news, Manish has continued posting his articles on Twitter, and the replies have been what you'd expect. With this morning's posts, he has limited replies to only those who he follows or mentions... so basically his replies are turned off.
