I've been saying it for a while. There is just no way for an 11 vs 11, in your face, smashmouth sport to work right now. I'd be stunned if they even try to play week 1.
There will be a season. See what happened in Europe for soccer leagues. All started around June and finished the season. Soccer is a contact game too. I think players and owners have a lot to lose here. I am not advocating for them to play or not to play. I say players and owners will chose to play with whoever wants to take the risk of being on the field.
It's pretty simple if you ask me. Free will. If players want to play, they should be able to play. If coaches want to coach, they should be able to. If fans want to go see the game , they should be able to. Please get over this self-righteous bullshit of "stay home, save lives" bullshit. People's entire livelihoods have been destroyed over a niche virus that kills an extremely small percentage of the population. I have had family shut down their businesses that they have built throughout their course of their whole lives over this, the least we can do is let people watch a game. I respect if you want to protect yourself and stay home, but don't force me to.
