Yeah he’s just being indirect. If he said Jamal told me to come here and the MFer left then he would get heat for it. I totally feel for Bell, he has been the opposite of Adams in regards to being a professional.

Got it. I thought Bell was suggesting he recruited Adams which wouldn’t have made sense.

Exactly. But I'm a Jets fan so I would never assume we'd turn 2 first round picks into decent starters.

He’ll fit well in the cover 2 G Williams likes to use in the back end.

And just like that, the 2017 draft is down to one player still on the roster.

The one thing I don’t like about this trade is the 2021 draft is probably going to be a huge shitshow. I can’t imagine there’s a college football season this year. We’re going to be taking shots in the dark with most of our picks. Still thought it’s nice to have 5 shots in the first three rounds instead of only 3.

Considering how things have gone for us under normal circumstances, I welcome the shitshow. Maybe that’s what’s been missing all this time.

This team is a joke...We draft terribly year after year..We finally hit on one with Adams and we trade him for what are most likely gonna be late first round picks.Gase is the worst thing to happen to this franchise in decades..

Not like we have a great history of drafting with our current roster.

Theres great players in every draft and lets hope that theres still plenty of tape from this last season out and about.

Thats the last thing Im gonna worry about, we have pros who do this for a living. And all it means is not seeing a guy play one year or a full year doesnt mean there isnt tape on them. Same procedure nothing changes and every draft is a crap shot anyways.

I'm happy with the return, but still would much rather have Adams and a competent head coach.
As soon as we hired Gase, I knew we just threw a minimum of two years of down the toilet. That would have been bad enough. But now, we're actually heading backwards.

Not only is Gase horrible as a coach, but he also acts like an emperor despite accomplishing nothing, and manages to alienate every good player he's ever been around. No doubt in my mind we would have worked something out wth Adams if we had a winning culture around here. Nobody wants to play for this guy, and you can't win with him, so the only thing left to play for was the money. Hopefully we'll cut bait 10 minutes after the season, and Joe D can start the rebuild ... AGAIN ... with a good stash of picks.

Great trade. Not something you'd expect from a Jet GM but evidently its a new day at Florham Pk. Jamal hopefully learns from this and matures. He almost got what he wanted but how he went about it will come back to bite him in the ass one day. Bitching and Whining your way out of a situation is something a child would do. The Jets won this time, but I hope they don't make a habit of coddling whiners. Adams got the star treatment but in the end, JD got the best of the situation. Nice Work JD! Keep it up!!

Glad to see Adams gone. His mouth and his character are what got him sent out of New York.

Trading season is NOT over. Interested in seeing if JD will use those picks to make some trades to fill some holes this year. I doubt he holds on to those picks.

If you believe the bullshit Jamal was talking about Gase as a legitimate reason to leave the team then I have a bridge to sell you. That dude would have said anything to get off of this team. His bitch boy act was embarrassing and karma will take care of that. Look at OBJ, he hasn't won shit and never will because when you have a "me me me" attitude it most times doesn't work. I never liked Seattle much and now I hate them. I will be rooting very hard for Gase this year and I hope he makes Jamal look like the little punk ass child that he is.
