My season tickets were sec 125 at Giants Stadium. I remember this game as well. Fun times. I miss Giants Stadium as well. The spiral staircase and someone would go into the pit and try to grab money while being belted with bottles and food and anything else people could throw.

The playoff win at NE ranks higher then this one. My section at Giants Stadium was 125. I remember this game. Fun times

ya. I guess beating manning and brady in bk2bk playoff games was pretty special. They way it ended still kills me though!

I was in 122, so we probably threw money - then whatever else, down the same spiral "pit" at many games. It was such an organic ridiculous occurrence. I mean, people would bring raincoats and a helmet into the game JUST to use as armor for being a gladiator while attempting to collect the "bait" at the bottom of the spiral during halftime. (or is "bounty" a better word?)

Fun times. Rowdy? yeah, but not nasty-rowdy. I have to admit i probably would not do the same things now, so many years later.

Back to the game - from my seat in the last row of the first level in the EZ, when I saw O'Brien throw towards the center of the goal line, I thought the worst - but right then Wesley made his cut and arrived perfectly to dramatically tie the game. Let's face it - Wesley was an all-time GREAT Jet.

IIRC that was the opposite side of my sec 316 seats but for me I saw that catch like I was running with Walker. What a great day.

Yes, opposite the Jets bench to avoid the sun in our eyes. We were on Visitor side in Shea for the same reason. You could see the Jets player pain on the bench with binoculars, but the body posture without them told the story just fine. I lost count how many times I saw Joe Walton picking his nose when I was looking for Freeman McNeil.

Got lucky there. Harper did fumble there on the OT kickoff

We still should've (it was Shula spreading the coke rumors so he'd fall to him) but suppose we did...we'd just be ridiculed for never winning a SB with Marino. Miami couldn't win a Super Bowl with him and only got to one. They had Shula. We had Joe Walton and then Coslett. Jets with Dan Marino probably find a way to be a tragedy. Though we definitely had better backs than Miami with McNeil/Hector

Shula stubbornly would not give Marino a great running game or great defense to compliment him for all those years

Classic thanks for this. Walton went for the dagger. Contrast that to scared Herm and clueless Bowles.

Sounds like he was ahead of his time.

Nowadays that's what the league wants.

Wrong.. this was as far from a typical Jet loss as is possible. This was one of the greatest games short of the SB the Jets ever played in their entire existence.
