For how many more years do the Jets have control of Adams? I know it's at least 2020 and 2021. 2022 also?
His 5th year option was picked up, so he has two years of control left. He can be tagged after the 2021 season.
Jets is need Adams as much as he needs the Jets. He s a good fit and a leader. A comment where someone said “i would prefer to make Darnold better”, seems to look like Defense not important. Why not build around Darnold on offense and build around Adams on defense? Make them both a long time Jets.
Petulant child. He’s under team control for 3 years, he’s not getting paid yet. Mahomes and Watson haven’t gotten paid and they’re better than Adams and play the most important position on the field.

His attitude smells an awful lot like Revis. It will not end with this contract. He will attempt to renegotiate every contract before his time. He uses social media to bitch and moan about everything, like he is the only thing that matters. It comes a point when on the field performance gets trumped by off the field interference at every turn.
