We all remember the rousing success of Jets West Camp... looks like Sammy is starting up Jets Southeast down one Florida with all his skill position players. Something tells me this will go a little bit better than the last one. Perriman, Mims, Bell, Herndon, Crowder mentioned by name but Costello seems to think everyone will be there. Atta boy Sammy.
Like to see it. Would also love to hear the line getting together to start working on their cohesion.
Since Sam is from California, I wonder if he is holding it in Florida so as not to be compared with Sanchez, if it's because California won't allow that to happen, some combination of the two or some other factors. Whatever the reason, I'm really glad. I like the leadership that Sam is showing, and we need for Perriman and Mims to develop chemistry with Sam ASAP, and to get Herndon back in the groove.
Article says it's because most of the players are already in Florida. Perriman, Mims, Bell, Herndon and Perine for sure. Either way I feel ten times better about this than I ever did with Jets West.
Sam showing good leadership. I was surprised to see Bell going there. Almost every key offensive skill position player is expected to attend, including running backs Le'Veon Bell and Frank Gore, wide receivers Breshad Perriman, Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims and tight end Chris Herndon. Looks like Sam is getting respect from all the players by showing up for Sam's mini camp south-east.
I do think that Bell would have gone regardless but sounds like Perriman, Gore and Bell have already been working out at this facility that we are going to have our workouts at. Convenience probably plays a role.
I'm really excited that the offensive skill players are making an effort to get on the same page with each other. Seems to be no divas on this squad. Like what JD is building.
It is wide open down here. Fuckin Burlington Coat Factory had a line about a mile long the other day near my house. I find myself up in Boca Raton/Palm Beach County quite often with work, and things are very much eased up down here
Looks like Sam is already down there getting some work in. Look at that release, backpedaling, across his body. Not exactly the technique you want to see but if Mahomes did it, it would be replayed on every ESPN show for a week.
yeah but Bell could have been a diva and claimed "it's voluntary & it's not mandatary that I Attend".
In his defense, the last time he did that, he wasn't being a diva. He was sticking to the offseason workout he always did that got him where he is at. If a camp is voluntary, then a player can not be labeled a diva for not going. Especially if he is working his ass off training instead. He wasn't sitting around eating pizza at his house
He was also working 2 girls at the same time (who also robbed him of $500k in jewelry). That takes a lot of stamina.
